Highlights:
Q: Can you fend off the Xbox 720 and PS4?
A: Once you talk about what that is, we can probably fend it off.
Q: Will the Wii U and its capabilities last you through the next console generation?
A: We think so. It's based on having great graphics, it's based on having a robust online execution. We believe that this system is going to have a very long life, and it's going to be very well supported by third-party publishers.

"they're not going to be able to get on a tablet, and they're not going to be able to get on a tablet somehow connected to a gaming system like what our friends down the street are trying to do." Hehehe, Microsoft reference!!
I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect

He is supposed to say this kinda thing, but still it makes me happy to hear him say it. Lol
Reggie is passionate about Nintendo though, a lot of guys are paid to say these things...he would say them for free because he believes what he says.

Very true, but if he doesn't really care for something that Nintendo is putting out, he won't say anything bad about it. It is still his job after all.Reggie is passionate about Nintendo though, a lot of guys are paid to say these things...he would say them for free because he believes what he says.

I remember that Iwata said the Revolution would be powerful. Guess Nintendo's perception is different of great graphics than their "target group".
I remember him telling the E3 audience that when they saw the Revolution's graphics, they would say "wooow"
when the system came out, they sure said it alright.
as in "woow, that stinks."
We don't have the same situation with the Wii U.
Nintendo was forced into the Wii.
The Wii U is what Nintendo does when they have all the room they need to built a great system.

Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

Good point there. But I still doubt it will keep up with nextbox/station (it will better than the Wii for sure tho). I mean, Xbox 360/PS3 are selling for around 200 these days. Nintendo releases a console + a FREAKING expensive controller for 300, so that doesn't leave more room to improve of that generations hardware. I don't know manufacturing costs or anything, but it seems a logical thing. I don't think you can sell a powerhouse console + a powerhouse controller for that price. I think they said they didn't want to sell at a loss, too.
With powerhouse I mean, a huge leap in graphics. With powerhouse I don't mean just higher settings if the games were pc games.
