I was considering getting an external hardrive if they were and avoiding disk copies all together. So does anyone know?

Nope, go to the Wikipedia page to see the current games that will be on the eShop.

I went their and it says, "Most Nintendo-published retail titles are expected to be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop at launch."

But i followed the reference and it said all first party titles will be on their and it said nothing about third party titles. So probably not.

http://en.wikipedia...._of_Wii_U_games

Look at the retail games, it states whether they are on the eShop or not.

Not all are, its up to the publisher I believe, but remember not all games have to be available at launch on the eShop...we may see waves of games appear on there months after their release. I'm also going to assume the majority at first will be 1st and 2nd party games.

From what i heard is Nintendo wants all 1st party games to be on thr eshop day one of game release.
Now 3rd party companies may or may not do it.
No way of knowing right now.
I believe the only system will full 1:1 hard copy:digital is the vita.

If just a thought if your going all digital. Get some fast internet. Wii u games are said to be 4-25gb and could be upward to 50gb in data size.

I prefer actual copies of games, each to his own though :)

I doubt it. Even on the PS3, all retail games aren't on their online store.

I was thinking about that, but I realize I never resell games. Also from now on it seems that all Nintendo first party titles will have a digital option. So if I get that it will be tied to my account until Nintendo dies. So even when new games come out I'll have all of the classics. Maybe I'll get first party games as digital downloads. I'm unsure though.

One first party game that will not be on the eShop is SiNG Party, because it requires a microphone that's bundled with the physical game.

I hope most third-party games comes to the eshop, I don't want to pay 90 dollars for a game in my country, I prefer to pay 60 dollars

I see no good reason for a developer to omit to put a game on the eShop... I guess some of them did...

They should have a request system. Then perhaps every month they can release a title, no matter how old, for a limited digital download period, based on majority vote.

It depends on the price for me. i mean..Xbox live would charge more for the games than what you could buy them in the shops?????
This also means that you are stuck with the game (Can't re-sell it on) and you do not have anything physical to show for it.

I prefer a hard copy, that way you can sell it or trade it in if you want down the track.
