One of the most-touted features of the Wii U is the ability to play games via the television screen and the screen on the GamePad. This means that, if someone wants to watch the television, you can switch to the other display method, and avoid battling for dominance in the real world. As for how long this switch takes, Kotaku says it’s only about three seconds. When someone wants the television and you want to continue playing a game, just tap a button, “wait” three seconds, then continue on your way. Nice and easy.
