Well...as we are just days away from the launch of the Wii U, I am trying to think about launch titles for 360 and ps3. I know they were HD and the older systems were not but, I have heard many people say that a lot of the launch games for the 360 and ps3 were not much better than the xbox or ps2 version of that game. Can someone provide me with some examples? The reason I am thinking about this is because I keep hearing it will take time to really use the "full power" of the U like the others. Thought I would compare!

I think comparisons of late ps2, launch ps3 and current ps3 games are the best for this sort of thing.

Actually it is because it shows the improvements of graphics aswell. Launch titles never look as good as future games.

As you can see the switch from first game on the system to the last game is an improvement.
Its truly comes down to the game devs. The better they get at coding the better they can make it look and work.

I think people are taking a far too simple approach to this. Firstly the ps2 and ps3 are notoriously difficult to program for so there was a long learning curve. Wii u doesn't have that problem its more like 360. When the 360 and PS3 came out the main formats were ps2, xbox and gamecube and many of the first games were just enhanced versions of their games or different games using much the same engines. Rogue Squadron was a launch game for gamecube and is the most impressive game probably on both gamecube or wii so the rule can be broken.

Clearly the wii u can be seen to be massively superior to the original wii without question from what we know so far. Compared to 360 and PS3 its too early to say. I've only seen the Ninja Gaiden review so far.

the xbox 360 came out ages ago and since then the graphics have drastically increased I mean look at Halo 4 and BF3
