Can you buy multiple gamepads for the wii u and use them, or can you only use the one that comes with it? By the way I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this.

Yes you can, I'm aware you can buy an extra one, not sure how many can connect to your console at once though.

um not sure if you can buy extra gamepads to be honest as in japan you could but you might be stuck with the one you got everywhere else.

They will allow two gamepads on games, but none of the launch titles support it, they are not selling the gamepad at launch either.

I'm pulling this out of the air, but I think you need to wait for a system update to sync more than one upad at a time.
You can buy as many as you want though (From Japan).

Yes you can buy one additional game pad. In the USA through u won't be able to purchase one until after march 2013

2 Gamepads are supported but not at launch,you can't buy them yet either.

-at launch youll be able to use only 1 Upad at the same time, the 2 Upad feature will come in the future, until it comes you have to use wiimotes+ pro controllers for local multiplayer
- and there will be no separated gamepads on sell, atleast not for now, only in japan they will be, if the one that comes with the console breaks or something you have to contact with the nintendo customer support to get a replacement or buy a new one

Just buy a Wii Remote or something. There's no need for 2 people to have a gamepad each.

Really??? Ok you can buy a 2nd Game Pad but not for at least half a year.. No Wii U games will support 2 Game Pad controllers at Launch. Just buy a Wii U Pro Controller in mean time.

They are on the eb games aus site for sale.
The price is only an estimate and release is a TBC 2013. From that I would say there not actually for sale on there at least not yet.

No games right now use a second gamepad so nintendo hasnt release them yet, as to not confused the buyers.
Nintendo will do a replacement if your gamepad is damaged or stop working. Price on this has not been comfrimed but i believe it was said to be free if under warranty and normal wear and tear. And then $75 if physically damage.
But as said no confirmed.
