Let me get this straight. Your worried that Microsoft will show a new System that will make the WiiU look dated before we have even seen any true footage of the WiiU? that really doesn't make senseok so we all know sony has a big thing against nintendo. i don't think microsoft has the same type of negative energy for nintendo. what I'm worried about is E3 2012. we all know the Wii U console will soon to be launch and nintendo will be showing off launch titles for the Wii U. what has me worried is rumors of the next xbox being reviled at E3 2012. what happens to nintendo if microsoft shows off a console that makes the Wii U look dated before it even releases? what do you guys think?
And by real Footage, I mean actual Games, Not tech Demos
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

It's not possible.
If MS launches a few months after Nintendo, the graphical gap between the two would be something like the 360 to PS3.

It's amazing how the the human mind does not process the the fact I used the word "the" twice in a row in this sentence.

Even SONY shouldn't worry. SONY is everywhere in the electronic market. They make tons of things, they even provide the sound stuff for a hell of a lot of movies. Go see a movie some time and look at the credits and you'll likely find Sony in there somewhere.
Nah

That will not stop them "leaking" spoilers, or rumours of a new "super-console" near to the Wii U launch, designed to keep their fanboys loyal.
It is more likely that Microsoft will release a new console first, but that is not going to be a "super-machine". It will probably be an upgrade of the 360; with Kinect built-in, more ram and use a bigger optical disc capacity. Anything "extra" is likely to be little more than "tweaks".

This seems likely to me, as well.... "elite" editions with some better individual parts (like storage or RAM) or new bundle options for the 360 would make more sense than a new console at a time when anything they could sell for less than $1000 would be only marginally more powerful than WiiU.
As far as the "worry", however... I wouldn't be worried even if MS or PS announced a new console at E32012. Why in the world would that be worrisome? If they want to try to force their install base to purchase a new piece of tech that offers them no real, new play experiences (other than, perhaps, a few more assets from current generation game engines), then good on them. Wii owners have a reason to upgrade, as do the owners of other consoles (due to the controller and the prospect of some truly great IPs in HD for the first time), but PS or MS owners really don't.

No It won't. Microsoft Does not want to pull a Sony in terms of pricing IE: where they price their product extremely high because it is really high tech. They even said them selves not to expect a major leap in Graphical power. So the chances that it will look better then the WiiU? high. Chances that it will be a Wii to Xbox Difference? Extremely lowwell one i said it was a RUMOR! i guess just like the rumor that nintendo was showing a new console E3 this year.... how did that turn out? anyway i think anyone with common sense knows the next xbox and Playstation will be more powerful than Wii U without us even knowing yet how powerful Wii U is. what i was saying is that "IF" this rumors does come true and microsoft shows their new console at E3 2012 knowing it will be more powerful than Wii U that could be bad for nintendo's lets get the hardcore back movement.
Also, Nintendo of America( Nintendo's largest Market) basically killed off their Hardcore chances by not localizing Xenoblades, the Last Story, or Pandora's Tower

i can agree to a certain extent... but at this point anything is possible. someone has to be the graphical leader and guess what???? the developers always flock to the most powerful console.... as long as it has an ease of development. that kind of what messed things up for sony... we all know they have the most powerful console right now but its hard to develop for. that's why you only see their first party developers pushing the console and making the better looking games.

So you're saying the Playstation 1 and 2 were the most powerful consoles in those times?

i said right now as in PS3... it's the most powerful console but it isn't easy to develop for.

No... you said
the developers always flock to the most powerful console....
Which is incorrect.

they always flock to the most powerful console... AS LONG AS IT'S EASY TO DEVELOP FOR. it's easy for a developer to put a game on a console and say this game is being made for x console because it's the only console that can run it. power plus ease of development will get you a lot of support. for years the xbox 360 got most of the exclusives MASS EFFECT for example now developers are learning the PS3 and look now mass effect 2 was made for PS3 and mass effect 3 is coming to PS3 as well.
if console a has more horsepower than console b.... why wouldn't a developer want to take advantage of the extra horsepower? that's just the way it is.... graphics aren't everything. horsepower can go to so many other things in game making like how smooth a game runs, A.I, and overall better textures.

Devs have never flocked to the most powerful console though.
Not this gen (360), not last gen (PS2,) not the gen before (PS1) and so on.
Devs don't have to develop ON the console to take advantage of the horsepower. You can see that with console and even PC multiplats.
Look at this generation and previous generations and you will see that the most powerful console has NEVER won its' generation.

While I'm feeling too lazy to look up which was more powerful, The gamecube and Xbox were not the most developed for. Plus, you claim they develop for the most powerful system that is easy to develop for? then why do consoles even exist? The PC is infinitely stronger

The playing field is pretty level and looks like staying that way for some time. Now the consoles will compete on other things; onlines services, exclusive content and any USP. The Wii U already leads in the first and third of these and is promising a big improvement in the other, so things are looking pretty good right now.
I think, if they can keep the third party devs on board, deliver online services that are near to or better than they others and find a good price point this machine will sell big time.

Hell, Nintendo almost won this generation (Doesn't look to good now) and they had the weakest console and no one (Anyone good, at least) developed for it.

- It's based on 2011-12 hardware
They're not stupid enough to make a high-end machine, they need it to be affordable and not have another PS3 scenario on their hands.“the production team from the Xbox 360 is working on the next Xbox 720 [our pet name], and they’re looking into what kind of CPUs will be available on the market in 2011-2012″
- Crytek denying it's existence
This after the rumor about Crytek working on Timesplitters 4 using DirectX11. I find it odd because Crytek could've just replied with a "no comment" but to outright deny it, and from Crytek of all people, says alot.“Crytek do not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft, nor do we know when Microsoft may announce future hardware or what that hardware will entail,”
- Xbox Slim+Kinect is supposed to increase it's life cycle
Xbox slim+Kinect only launched last year and Microsoft is serious about attracting the casual crowd. I feel that launching a new console would jeopardize this market strategy."We see it as about halfway through. Kinect put a huge shot of adrenaline into the business,"
As for the PS4, Well....
"It’s hard to say right now. I do not think we’ll have a console with a lot better graphics than the PS3 currently offered. I believe the future will be to offer consumers better and more accessible experience. The aim will be to make more people enter the world of video games and try to design titles for women."
Yyyyyeah...
