Does the Wii U load menus quickly, or is it slow?

It may be the fact that there's caffeine flowing through my veins, thus slowing down time or something, but it feels like to takes an eternity for things to load on the Wii U.
Now don't get me wrong, it by no means takes away from the Wii U experience, I'm just saying that you'll spend a few extra minutes at the loading screens. Just enough time to grab a cup of coffee or something.

Wii U is looking very slow and the Specs Arn't as good as we thought thet were, soo far.

The Wii U does feel a bit slow, yeah. The Wii seemed to load games faster and had far more bearable load times. The noise of the machine is also quite ridiculous for a Nintendo console. It is at least as loud as an Xbox 360.

Wii games were simpler, content and graphic wise... So naturally it was faster...i dont notice long loads ..

Switching from menu to menu seems kinda slow. Kinda like the 3ds that it gotta think about it before it does it.
The system itself once the game is load seems good but to early to tell. Will have to wait till i these games finish updating to see.

I'm only getting slowdown from connecting online ( everyone's trying to get on, so no real problem) and loading apps or games. Loading takes about 10 seconds roughly, but when I'm in the app/game loading is fine.

Yea, it takes at least 30-60 seconds to load anything. And around 60-90 seconds to boot up for me. I thought it was just because I got the Basic version.
