This week was the worst video gaming week ever.
November 12, 2012-November 18, 2012:
1. Mass Effect disc in Call of Duty Case
2. Lego: Lord of the Rings Xbox 360 version having demo game discs instead of full game discs
3. Wii U Not Working/broken

I agree 100%, me and my fiancee were talking about all the problems with the Wii U so far plus all of the problems with the last gen consoles and all the problems that could be present with the next Microsoft and Sony systems, and all of the problems with lack of originality and games in general and we came to the conclusion that if things don't pick up within the industry in the next 2 to 3 years the gaming industry is going to crash again just like the 1980's, Remember just our opinion.

Out of curiosity, I might have avoided the plague of issues because NYC was the first to receive the systems, but what exactly are the issues? I haven't run into anything that hasn't sorted itself out (start was a tad slow but is now pretty fast after about an hour, Miiverse would often give me a warning but it was absolutely fine all day today, Nintendo Land froze twice on me, but that was due to my own error).

Noona, the only problem with my Wii U so far is that is has frozen once last night while trying to open Miiverse. System wouldn't turn off with the controller or the power button on the system. Had to unplug it. But that's all that's happened to me so far. I don't think the system has anything super serious like RROD/YLOD type things.

Oh and Goku I agree with you 100% on the game crash theory. I have been thinking this since PS3/360/Wii got themselves established. Nothing is new or original. Where are the RPGs with great and unseen battle systems? Incredible level design for platformers? Engaging storylines? We get those time to time but not like the 90s. I think a crash will come. I'm actually surprised it isn't here already. I just wish developers could be like they were during the 90s because then the gaming industry would be full of new and astounding things. And people would be so excited for the next game. And they will remember their games too. I think we need a crash. Only then will they realize what they are doing wrong.
