First of all let me say this - I been looking forward to this launch something fierce and I'm a huge Nintendo fan. In saying that...I LOVE this new console...however there are a lot of things that irk me and make this...the worst console launch ever for Nintendo when it comes to hardware stability.
So from start to finish today - I been having a really good time playing with friends. Nintendo Land has proven to be much more fun than I thought. The Gamepad and the Pro Controller feel solid and are easy and comfortable to hold onto. Graphically all the games look really good, even when playing on the Gamepad. I feel like this system will offer a lot for us over the next several years
Things I love -
1) I love the feel of the Gamepad and Pro Controller. The Gamepad is everything I hoped it would be. I know its a small feature, but I'm glad they made syncing of controllers easier.
2) I really like the layout - its a nice merge of the 3DS and Wii system and it flows well
3) I love the Miiverse, the new Nintendo Network, and the connectivity with other players
There's more I like about it - but these are a few key things.
....Now for the pieces of that really bother me and have frustrated me all day.
1 - Lag time from opening apps/games - or from hitting home and exiting apps/games is pretty ridiculous if you ask me...even the Wii processes these commands far faster. I am rather surprised at how slow it launches and closes things.
2 - Random game crashes - So far both Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed and ZombiU have crashed on me. On Sonic I went into battle mode and it flickered on the screen and the system shut down. On ZombiU I hit the home button and it froze and I had to unplug it to get it to go off.
3 - Glitchy Gamepad connectivity - At random times the Gamepad just won't connect or will be going in and out of connection - even when 2 feel in front of the system with nothing in its way. I found this to happen when A) I turn the system on with the gamepad and the gamepad turns on first...and

4) I know its day one - but I was really expecting the Miiverse to be more stable than it is - its great - but its slow and often ends in errors .
This is really the only things that are bothering me, maybe I'm alone in this..but otherwise I'm really enjoying the system and I hope a lot of issues can be panned out with updates. I say this is the worst console launch for Nintendo because it's really the first time we didn't get rock solid hardware on day 1...usually it's the competitors having issues.
Cheers guys and keep gaming!
