Its bad news about this update causing issues if the power goes out , i have a couple of questions/thoughts on this. Could nintendo not have put this update on a disc? In the box? Also the reports of systems running slow...is this just on basic 8gb units or the deluxe 32gb aswell? The reason i ask is that doesnt an almost full memory run slower? Or is that just hdd that run slower as opposed to flash (in wii u)? (",)

All the videos I've seen of the systems running slow, are the 'Deluxe'/'Premium' versions.

I haven't seen 1 video of the 'Basic' version, except for an unboxing.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

I don't think a full storage has anything to do with how fast programs run. As long as it's not fragmented, the RAM is the only thing that controls the speed. (Okay, and the CPU too, but just wanted to distinguish the two different kinds of memory >>) They couldn't have put it in the box because the whole reason it has an update is because the OS wasn't finished before their deadline to begin manufacturing.

I think it's gonna be all models, not just a specific one.

So your deluxe doesn't take this long to go into menus?

I find that hard to believe.

Are some of the menu features being processed via an internet connection? If so , could it be busy servers on nintys end? The reason i ask is that on superchargeds video i see the little circle icon twirling round...like on wii when its connecting. Im probably barking up wrong tree here , but could the console be constantly checking the connection in the background? :/

Also has anyone got a definate confirmation on the size of the update yet? Ive heard 880mb , 1gb , and 5gb lol which is it? (",)

That video makes the 3DS look fast. It's almost embarrassing as a Nintendo fan, I hope they can fix this because stuff like that is a big issues. One of the things I always liked about Nintendo was no/short loading times.
No sig.

All your posts I've read defend the Wii U without a logical basis, you're turning a blind eye to the issues and saying you don't notice the problem? 15 seconds to get into System Settings and 22 seconds to go back to the Wii U main screen IS BAD, I don't care what the excuse - that's an absurd amount of time and even Nintendo knows it.
