I modded my Wii a few months ago but I then realized that if I want to transfer my Wii software to my Wii U, I was going to have to un-mod it. After I un-modded it, I noticed that, even though The Homebrew Channel and BootMii was gone, other things like Priiloader and Wiiflow hung around. Yesterday I wanted to go on the Wii eShop but it asked me to update. Even though I un-modded I'm still afraid to update because, as I pointed out, things Priiloader and Wiiflow are still on my Wii. What should I do? :(

I've never heard of an update bricking a modded Wii. I've done it before and all's that happened is it removed the HBC.

But what happened to Priiloader and Wiiflow? Did they delete too?

I've never used those honestly. Never found the need to. Can't you just reinstall the original stuff to completely unmod though, if you really are that worried? Did you make a NAND backup?

My backup files are nand.bin, keys.bin and a Bootmii file. Bootmii is already off my Wii so, how would I install my backup if I needed to???

Um. I think you would have to reinstall Bootmii to use your NAND backup. If you did it like how I did, then your NAND should be clean except for BootMii and the HBC. If that's the case, then you can have an unmodded wii after doing the nand backup, then uninstalling bootmii and HBC. I would look to see how to simply uninstall Priiloader and Wiiflow, since it sounds like the most direct route...

Edit: Actually, now that I think about. You may want to leave BootMii on your Wii when you do the update, so that if it bricks you can apply the NAND backup.
Edit 2: Just remembered that it might only work if you install BootMii as Boot2.

I already deleted HBC and BootMii. When I made the backup every bit of modding software was still on my Wii, so I think it might have been copied into the NAND backup.

I think you should just google how to uninstall Priiloader and stuff if you're that worried.

That's what I just did. Priiloader should remove by update but I couldn't find anything on Wiiflow.
