These thoughts are mostly for Europeans, Aussies, or anyone that doesn't own a Wii U yet but is having doubts due to the loud minority.

Wii U is great. Launch day was unsettling, because I downloaded the update while surfing the internet on my phone and saw several complaints/problems. Sure enough, when I tried to enter a Nintendo Network ID, nothing happened, It simply loaded forever. So, after an hour or two, I crossed my fingers and unplugged my Wii U. I plugged it back in and everything has been smooth ever since. KEEP IN MIND I DIDN'T TURN IT OFF DURING THE UPDATE. It was while the NN was loading to register my ID.

At first I liked my Wii U, but I didn't love it. I would compare it to when you first buy a CD (if you remember what that's like). Sometimes, you like the songs, but wonder if the CD was worth 15 bucks. But after you become familiar with the songs, you love the entire CD. That's how Wii U worked for me. Once I figured out how to navigate the menu and all of the features, I fell in love with Wii U.

The games are great. I got NSMBU and Nintendoland for now. You've read about them or seen videos. I will say that they are both great, and Nintendoland doesn't have a bad game. They range from pretty fun to AWESOME.

I can tell you right now, the GamePad will change the video game industry forever. It will change your livingroom forever. When I'm in my living room, my Wii U is on. I can control my TV and my cable box right from the GamePad. So while the TV is on, I can be checking Miiverse on the GamePad, change channels, and set a show to record, all from my GamePad. And if my wife wants to watch something and I don't, I can change to channel to her show and fire up NSMBU or Netflix to be played on the GamePad, all on one device. I honestly can't imagine going back.

The OS is a little slow, but I woundn't have noticed if I hadn't read about it on the internet. I've read complaints about the internet being slow; not an issue in my household. I havn't downloaded any games yet, but the eShop is easy to navigate and is layed out well, IMO. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the Wii Shop Channel. Ok, I fired up my laptop just for these thoughts. Now Wii U is calling my name. Have a great day and enjoy your Wii U. Only a few for days for you non-NOA customers. Be excited!

Fellow Wii U owners, post your thoughts. Future Wii U owners, what are you excited for? Feel free to ask any questions.

Oh man, that's a boss ID. I can see you took every ounce of your creative and witty power in it.

I salute you.

I'm excited to come home with 8 fantastic games. Gonna spend days nights slaving away at Nintendoland, Assassin's Creed III, Black Ops II, ZombiU, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed, Darksiders II and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. All the while making the news, in which a 21 year old male disappeared off the face of the planet.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

@Fig - My only real complaint lefts are the short battery life on the GamePad (which is solveable by plugging the GamePad in and playing it while its charging), and the really slow OS. 15-20 second load times for each menu gets frustrating.
@Auzzie Wingman - Except for AC3 and Tekken TT 2, I've got the same games. Black Ops 2 looks amazing, game play is just like on the 360.

Ha ha I'm neither creative nor am I witty. At least I didn't pick Frank or Bob or something like that.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

I bought my wii u & had to wait to put it online due to my house setup. I liked it offline. As soon as it went online. I LOVED it.
NSMBU has not been truly experienced until you have played with you as Mario, your spouse as Luigi, and either an 8 year old or a 4 year old on the gamepad placing blocks. ABSOLUTE CHAOS! Ridiculously fun stuff.

This is the first time I've truly been exited for a console in ages.

Zombie u and Mario u should be plenty for people at launch. Two extremely good games . I caught myself falling asleep in my bed watching x files all night with the gamepad on Hulu plus . This system has the potential to be something truly special.
