So what happened to this game? I thought it was like one of the biggest launch titles... Please tell me it comes out this year.

The game was never set for launch, it is currently a launch window title. A March 2013 release is being listed from GameStop. But I wouldn't expect to wait much longer for the game, seeing as it's present in Wii U commercials ( and has a commercial itself). So I'd say the last week of March 2013 at the latest. I can't say I'm hyped for the game myself. As while I love the Lego games, every game is always plagued with glitches and ( most common) freezing. It's just so annoying, if only they could fix their engine. If I see that there's no freezing, I'll probably get this.

Also, way back when the game was announced at E3 2011 ( under the working title: Lego City Stories), that they had a 3DS version planned too. What happened to the 3DS version? We haven't heard of it since, I'm presuming it's been delayed or cancelled.

Its just listed as coming soon - I don't think we will be waiting till march...Nintendo would be silly to release it in the same window of time as Monster Hunter and Bayonetta 2

For a while EB had the date as January 3rd but now it doesn't show a date, nor has it ever showed the Lego figure pre-order bonus.

Why ? There is nothing silly about that at all. This game is going after a very different market then those two games

I have this advertisement out of our Club Lego magazine that says the corresponding "High Speed Chase" Lego City set, with Chase McCaint minifigure, will be available January 2013. It says "Unlock these cars and exclusive missions in the LEGO CITY: Undercover video game - only for Wii U!" So I would imagine that the lego set and the game will be released within a very short time period of each other. So I'd imagine late December or early January for the game, and then the High Speed Chase set shortly thereafter. Just a guess.

I wouldn't be be surprised at all to see them wait until March for this one. If you cannot get your game out for the holidays then why bother. people are always tapped out after the holidays, so you might as well wait until the spring.
