You need to contact them about it, just expect a hefty price. Stuff like this is not covered by warranty.

I had mine replaced, but mine was covered by warranty because of freezing issues, I'm pretty sure they just sent me a new one or one they had already fixed because the turn around time was great! But on the return form they sent, it said if I wasn't covered by warranty it would've cost me $85, but I'm not sure how accurate a price that would be for your situation.

Take better care of your Wii U !! The good news is that while you wait for a replacement/repair you can always play Wii U games with a Pro Controller or Wii mote if you have one?

I do take care of my Wii U, but when im asleep and people use it as a TV remote i have no control over that. Ive been real careful about whos using it and how they use it... Thats why im so angry about it. Yeah the kids can still play Mario and Sonic. the only game we cant really play is Nintendo land. Lesson learned i guess ill sleep with it under my pillow! lol

No disrespect but of you did take care of your Wii U then you wouldn't let other people use it when you're not around and abuse it. In any case don't you have a regular TV remote they can use. In my case no one and I mean no one touches my consoles, computer, TV, iPad, surround sound amp when I'm not around. It's all off limits for everyone else even my relatives. I don't trust anyone with my stuff.

Tell that to your wife... And its not like when im sleeping i can monitor what is going on in the living room.
If i was up an active at this time the gamepad would of been on charging doc the whole time.

Its $95 for a replacement if anyones interested. When i called the asked a few weird quesitons, like if i thought the HDMI cable was long enough and the power cord lol. They are also sending me a survey on the wii u. Oh yeah they estimate 1-2 weeks delivery and i gotta ship mine in.

I recommend you get a squaretrade warranty. They are the best in the business and the warranty for 3 years would have been cheaper than the price you paid to have your gamepad replaced. Plus the give out 30 to 40% off coupons all the time. Probably get the warranty for $50.
