Does anyone know if you can use this for virtual console mine does not work.

You can't. To play VC your gonna need your old Wii Classic Controller[Pro]

The virtual console games are played in Wii mode. The Wii mode is essentially a Wii emulation and doesn't support Wii U controllers. When in Wii mode the Wii U acts as a Wii. Therefore you can only use controllers designed to be used with the Wii.

This has been covered before. But to sum it up.
You can only use wii controlers for wii type games.
Vc games where made and coded for the wii. So no wii u items will work.

No way around this unless nintendo rewrites the wii emu. But then every dev would have to patch there game.

Same thing the vita is going through with remote play.
