If you remember me, I was against the wii u since the beginning, but i think im starting to change my mind. I have a few questions:

- Is Miiverse just as good as I heard it to be? I want your feedback.

- Is the GamePad responsive?

- What kind of integration is there ALREADY between 3DS & Wii U

- I know that you can transfer save data from a Wii, but can you transfer data like MK & City Folk (games that use Nintendo WFC)

- Wii U Basic or Wii U deluxe? Keep in mind the fact I want Nintendo Land, but do have a 32 GB flash drive I am willing to dedicate to the Wii U.

- Can u use a Dsi/DSi XL/3DS/3DS XL charger to charge the GamePad? Is the plug fully the same. from looks yes, but there may be a difference in power. Confirmation?

- What is the battery life of the GamePad?

- Is it worth it?

Thanks!

Miiverse is good. Helpfull hints and awesome artwork.
Gamepad is very responsive, nice screen but strangely placed face buttons, am getting used to it now tho.
Deluxe set. You get Nintendo land with it.
Battery life im getting 4-6 hrs out of a charge, and you cannot use as or 3ds charger on the gamepad.
Questions related to ds or 3ds someone else will have to answer as I don't own either, hope this info helps

I can comment a few of those questons.

Miiverse, I personally think, is a big plus for the Wii U. It's simple but it's easy to use and feels like a fun environment unlike SOME of the big headed peeps you get on Live. Being able to post a screenshot of your game and ask advice about it or just to add a funny caption to it just makes things fun. Personally, i love it.

Regarding the pads sensitivity. I was personally impressed with how sensitive the screen is for saying it is resistive. I would have prefferred a capacitive screen but the resisitive in the pad is a lot more sensitive than the old resistive technology I remember on phones. Dragging items around is easy enough but sometimes, in the heat of a game trying to do thibngs fast, you may find you haven't to drag an item for a second time but I am light handed so it may just be me.

Battery life, I haven't drained mine down yet but I've had about 3-4 hours play on Zombi U and it still had 3 quarters of a battery left so it seems good to me.

Is it worth it? I guess it's down to your personal tatste but for me, I say a big fat yes! I like the way that developers can add additional features into a game because it has that pad. The Wii U is now my console of choice as they will always add at least a little something to utilize the pad. Alien vs predator springs to mind as you'll have the motion tracker on it constantly instead of having to lift your gun and press a button on the other consoles.

hope that helps bud.

as far as i know with Wii U/3DS connectivity, you can send Mii's from 3DS to Wii U. i haven't tried it the other way. i don't expect much from this until we get more games.

One More Question:
I just found out the Wii U does NOT have AV cables (connects to the AV multi Out), can I use the Wii AV Cable? the TV in my room doesn't have HDMI, but luckily I have a wii and I think i read that it works!

Yes it's pretty damn good all around . If you do want nintendo land and don't care about the greasy fingerprints then go for the deluxe because it's better value.

I think ill get Deluxe, it comes out cheaper. Main thing is the storage. Ive used a GamePad the other day at a local mall and liked it. I may wait a while (until Animal Crossing U is announced), I need to save my money (I'm only 14 and need to save up for a car & other expenses).

There has been a bit of mixed feedback on the gamepad, most people enjoy it and find it quite comfortable while others find it awkward. Don't buy a pro controller until you know wether or not you like the gamepad enough to use it during long gaming sessions.

I think most people already answered your question here. I'll say a few things, though...

Miiverse is awesome. I've had a fun time just staring at the Wara Wara Plaza (home screen), looking at all the art on Miiverse.

The gamepad is very responsive. Very little latency -- only noticeable when you do really fast movements, and even then it's minimal.

Wii U deluxe, unless you hate money and love the color white. You get a better deal no matter what with the deluxe. You get Nintendo land for 10 bucks cheaper than the alternative, plus you get a ton of other accessories.

I think I've heard that you can't use the 3DS charger to charge the gamepad, but I don't have a 3DS, so I really couldn't say.

The battery life isn't great at 3-5 hours (that's what Nintendo says the battery life is. I'm not sure if that's very accurate). The gamepad has only died on my once, and that was when we were done playing, so it wasn't a problem.

As for if it's worth it, it all depends. If you like Nintendo-exclusive franchises, or if you're just a huge Nintendo fan, definitely. It's a great console, and it can only get better over time. :)

If you remember me, I was against the wii u since the beginning, but i think im starting to change my mind. I have a few questions:

- Is Miiverse just as good as I heard it to be? I want your feedback.

It has potential but I wouldn't say it has anything going for it unless you enjoy looking at pictures people have drawn with the wiiu or taken in game. Most of what I see is redundant drivel or trolling though.

- Is the GamePad responsive?

Yes, but the thumbsticks are not as nice as on the ps3 or 360 so far. Maybe I just need to adjust to them but movements seem more jerky in fps games. When playing on the gamepad screen there is a noticeable delay, which given you can see it means it is the equivalent of playing an online game with a ping above 40. It is not to bad, but prepare to be annoyed if you intend to play competitive games like Black Ops 2 online not using your tv.

- What kind of integration is there ALREADY between 3DS & Wii U

You can transfer the Mii over, that is it from what I can tell.

- I know that you can transfer save data from a Wii, but can you transfer data like MK & City Folk (games that use Nintendo WFC)

Sorry, I am not sure.

- Wii U Basic or Wii U deluxe? Keep in mind the fact I want Nintendo Land, but do have a 32 GB flash drive I am willing to dedicate to the Wii U.

I think I will jump in here and actually say wiiu standard vs deluxe depends on where you live. The standard in Australia is $299, whereas the deluxe is $399. Even if you want nintendo land your better of buying the basic version here and then buying nintendo land separately. Yes you get some other extras that may change your mind, but the discount for the eshop in Australia is not worth it unless you buy alot of eshop only games (as games cost notably more on the eshop then they do in store).

- Can u use a Dsi/DSi XL/3DS/3DS XL charger to charge the GamePad? Is the plug fully the same. from looks yes, but there may be a difference in power. Confirmation?

I have not tried as I have no need to. But apparently not.

- What is the battery life of the GamePad?
,
Not entirely sure but it seems to be around 5 hours or so.

- Is it worth it?

I cannot answer that for you, but for me, yes it has been thus far.

Thanks!

You are welcome. :D

C'mon guys, try and be informative. He hasn't just asked yes or no. He has left areas to leave feedback on, so why not leave feedback on the pros and cons in those areas instead of just gushing like fanboys/girls

People are giving you good advice, but I have a couple things to add. First, I have found that the battery life of the gamepad is far closer to the 3 hour mark than the 5 hour mark. The good news is that it has a fairly long power cord and you can play while it charges. it really is on par or slightly less than the 3DS and Vita. Second, if you can get the Deluxe for $350 that is the only way to go. You get Nintendoland, and it won't hurt to have the extra memory especially when you consider that you have the dedicated flash drive too...you will be set and could even go digital on a huge game like AC3. I am thoroughly enjoying mine...particularly Miiverse, Mario, and ZombiU. Miiverse was the most pleasant surprise of all for me. You can get as much or as little as you want out of it, and it will never become obtrusive. You could spend hours just going through the various forums and checking out the amazing creativity of the people out there. Now for the bad news. If I could do it over again knowing that Nintendo was actually going to have product available on the shelves I would wait until they resolve a couple of things. I have not had bad freezing issues with mine, but I hear a lot of people have. A problem that everyone is having is with very slow menus within the operating system, and that is definitely a product of Nintendo rushing the thing out the door. So many people have griped about that one that I'm sure the update will be soon, but you may want to wait until everything is resolved and the finished product is in the box rather than through firmware updates.

I personally think its worth getting the pro controller as some games will certainly work better with it or with it and the Gamepad combined. If I hadn't got mine included with my Wii U Zombi U bundle I would have bought it separately.

All saves for games that use Nintendo WFC will be transfered into the Wii U. The saves for Brawl, Mario Kart 7, NiGHTS: JoD, Just Dance 3, and any WiiWare games I had with Nintendo WFC all transfered with no problems.
