I decided to list the last 7 games I have played for Wii U, 360 and PS3, and tally up the scores for each into an average. Wii U comes out on top. The results are exactly as they should be, because I like the Wii U first then the XBox 360 then the PS3, but this shows that there may be something more to it - I may get better joy out of playing Wii U games. I'm also not a Wii U fanboy, people who know me well know I'm so critical of the Wii U sometimes, it will make your eyes bleed. Here are my results:

Wii U:

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - 8.9/10
Scribblenauts Unlimited - 8.9/10
Madden 13 - 8.6/10
Skylanders Giants - 8.5/10
Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 - 7.0/10
Transformers Prime - 6.7/10

Average: 8.22

XBox 360:

Rayman Origins - 8.7/10
Halo 4 - 8.5/10
Street Fighters X Tekken - 8.5/10
Lost Planet 2 - 8.5/10
Forza Motorsport 3 - 8.3/10
Just Dance 4 - 8.0/10
Mirror's Edge - 6.0/10

Average: 8.07

PS3:

Sonic Generations - 9.0/10
Madden 13 - 8.6/10
Tekken 6 - 8.6/10
Little Big Planet - 8.0/10
Uncharted - 7.8/10
Uncharted 3 - 7.8/10
Final Fantasy XIII - 6.5/10

Average: 8.04

I thought this would make a good Wii U testimonial. I expect half the community to simply be happy to read this, while the other half wishing to pick apart my results or logic. So long as the discussion is mature, I don't really care either way.

I was simply happy to read it, and think you did a fine job of explaining the subject of the post: why the Wii U may be a better system for you based on average enjoyment of games. I would've rated some of the non-Wii U games a little higher, but to be honest I already know that my absolute favorite franchises are on Nintendo. This has been a problem for me in the past because I also like a lot of the newer series that haven't been available on Nintendo, and it's not really feasible for me to own multiple consoles right now. But I'm hoping that with the Wii U that problem will be solved, and that the best multi-platform titles will be available to me on a system on which I can also play Mario & Zelda.

Great post. But its funny you like 360 better when you mainly listed exclusives under the ps3 category:) no offense or anything I just noticed most people for some reason prefer 360 over ps3 even tho it has very few exclusives. But I will say the 360 has great online and even tho the interface is confusing its much nicer than the ps3 interface.

But yeah the Wii u is the first time in a long time I have actually found my self playing it for hours losing track of time. Even if I stop playing a game I usually get lost in mii verse for a hour and then get lost in tvii lol

i like all three as consoles but ive got to say this controller is tipping the scales for me at the minute its awesome just a shame we havnt got tvii in uk yet.

I can agree to this 100% It also helps that i totally missed out on the wii so i have a huge backlog of awesome games to catch up on. Currently playing through Xenoblade and Mario Galaxy and the games just drip with excellence. Looks like it will be the ps4 and wii U for me for next gen.

7.8 for Uncharted and Uncharted 3? I can't agree with that. The Uncharted series is one of the best for PS3. The gameplay and graphics alone are amazing.

yeah i think that smells a little fanboyish too me too even as a technical achievement alone they deserve 9's and that's without the cinematic story fantastic voice acting and epic blockbuster style action thats consistent throughout the adventure.

Skyrim was good but way to dumbed down and barely an rpg (more an action adventure game). Witcher 2 that's an rpg, Morrowing that's an rpg, Skyrim... not so much.


BTW the op's post reeks of bias, using arbitrary numbers one makes up to justify your preference to other people. I'm sorry but that is just splendidly silly.

Ugh, I can't wait to play Witcher 2!

 

Anyway, I believe that the Wii U is the best console for me also. My family always brings over all the other fancy systems with high tech graphics and confusing interface. And I don't understand the point of it. I would play a game with them but quit in about 5-10 minutes. But me and my family played NintendoLand for over 3 hours a day. And I played ZombiU forever. I just see the Wii U as the Superior Console.

 

There are many games I want that aren't on the Wii U, including Witcher 2 and Bioshock Infinite, but I don't NEED them. I NEED Animal Crossing New Leaf and Pikmin 3.
