Hey,

I was setting up my new Wii U when i thought the internet cut because the update was taking so long.. i unplugged it and then my Wii U broke, it wouldn't show any image on the screen. I called nintendo and they told me the memory board had been damaged so i sent it off this morning for a free repair.

I didn't even get to play a game lol, is it just me or does the Wii U set up seem to be a bit confusing?

Yeah, you aren't supposed to unplug it during the update. The update takes a long time for everyone.

No need for the harsh use of words. Especially for a newcomer. Admittedly it's not the clever thing to do but a lot of people know non-the wiser when it comes to updates.

i think the correct term is "illiterate" because before you do it, it tells you not to turn the console off.

i just thought it would be better if there was a button to cancel the update or something rather than having to unplug it

I spoke to the store i ordered it from and they told me its accidental damage which they do not cover in warranty... all sounded strange to me

Exactly, when returning something you should do this. I got a new Iphone that way.
