ADATA are reputable. Not a name I've heard of. I certainly wouldn't reccommend it. Besides you don't need a water and shock proof drive to use with the Wii U.
All hard drives will work.

ADATA are reputable.
All hard drives will work.
I've never heard of them and I've been selling and/or buying/using hard drives for a long time. Besides I wasn't referring to whether they will work as I'm sure they will but whether they're reliable. This wouldn't be my reccommendation.

At worst you'll need a ycable.
Adata have been around for a long time. They don't make hard drives, they make caddies.

I'm well aware of the compatibility of USB drives with the Wii U and what is required. I don't need you to tell me that. As for Adata like I said I've never heard of them and they certainly aren't a major hard drive manufacturer with a good reputation and like I said I wouldn't reccommend them. The best options are Seagate, Western Digital, LaCie and Maxtor.

I done said this a few times already.
They make the caddies.
A caddie is what a hard drive is put in when it becomes an external hard drive.
This is why you may not have heard of them as you only care about hard drives for some reason.

What's you're point. This thread is about hard drives and not caddies so why on earth you continue to talk about something that is not relevant I don't know. You said your self a caddie is not the same as a hard drive. A caddie on its own is hardly any use. Again the OP was asking about hard drives and not caddies.

My are point is you haven't heard of them as a hard drive manufacturer because they don't manufacture hard drives. What's you're point. Your original post was that you didn't trust them as a hard drive manufacturer as you had never heard of them in all your years as a hard drive manufacturer hearer-of-er.
Simply pointing out that's no reason to not trust them, because that's not what they do.
That would be like saying you don't trust your local grocery store because they don't pick the corn themselves.
One thing I can say against adata is they're not friendly to changing the hard drives inside their caddies.
But they do use very good hard drives so it shouldn't be a problem unless you like the look of it and want to change your setup around to make stuff look prettier.
