If I buy a game on Amazon, can I play that game on my console (which I also bought in Belgium).

As long as the system and game are from the same place (region) then it will work.
The wii u are lock down to the place they are brought.
As USA wii u will not be able to play a game made for a Japan wii u.

Belgium, like majority of Europe, are set in the PAL region; if you purchase games outside of Belgium just be sure that the box has a PAL label or the seller has stated specifically that it is of PAL region format.

If you bought the console in Belgium then its a EU console and will play games from any EU country including the UK. It will not play games from North America and Japan. It may well play games from Australia. If you buy from Amazon make sure its one of the EU sites. For example Amazon UK and Amazon France would be OK.
