Which accessories to buy?

I have been contemplating purchasing a Wii U for quite a while now. I had resolved to wait till next December (2013) to see what Sony and Microsoft would be offering. That was, until my wife played Wii Fit with her friends and then came and asked me if we could buy the system. So, happily enough for both of us, I got to tell her that I had already looked into it and would be on board. Decision completed, now it's up to me to buy the darned thing.
On my shopping list so far:
1 Nintendo Wii U Deluxe 32 GB (with Nintendo Land)
4 Wii U Remotes with Motion Plus (1 Blue, 1 Pink, 1 Black, 1 White)
1 New Super Mario Bros U
1 Wii Fit Plus & Balance Board
Do I need anything else? Nun-chunks? Pro Controller? Alternative recommendations? There are so many accessories that it's hard to figure out what I do need and don't need.
Anyhow, I appreciate any help!
Cheers,
~Starfighter

Also, there are some games in Nintendo Land that do use the nunchuck in them. So I'd recommend buying some of those as well. So as long as you have four Wii remotes and four nunchucks, you'll have full multiplayer capabilities in both NSMBU and Nintendo Land.
Some alternate games I'd recommend include Scribblenauts Unlimited, Epic Mickey 2 ( not for everyone), Skylanders Giants, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Mighty Switch Force HD ( downloadable) and ZombiU.
If you plan on buying Virtual Console games from the Wii Mode, then you should get a Classic Controller Pro ( there's also a regular Classic Controller, but it lacks grips for your hands) ( not to be confused with the Pro Controller). Since it's the only way to play non NES Virtual Console games in Wii Mode. The Classic Controller can also be used with Wii U games such as Skylanders Giants, CoD Black Ops 2, and Sonic Racing Transformed. Some Wii games it works with include Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.
The Pro Controller currently doesn't work with many games, and only works with Wii U games. But some games that ( or will) support it include Trine 2, CoD Black Ops 2, Rayman Legends, Sonic Racing, Skylanders Giants, and for the multiplayer in ZombiU.
If you plan on downloading many games from the Wii U eShop, I'd recommend a USB hard drive. Also, if you plan on downloading games in Wii Mode, I recommend an SD card. As the memory given for Wii Mode is very minimal.
As for Wii accessories. The Wii Wheel and Wii Zapper aren't really used for anything. The Wii Wheel is only used for Mario Kart Wii and the original Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing ( both Wii games, the former has a wheel bundled with it). While the Wii Zapper only supports one notable game, Link's Crossbow Training ( which is also bundled in).
Also, here's a guide to what works on the Wii U, and what works on Wii Mode. ( You can always look at the top right of a Wii game case, or the bottom of a Wii U case to see what controllers that game supports).
Wii Remote = Works with Wii and certain Wii U software
Nunchuck = Works with certain Wii and Wii U software
Classic Controller/Classic Controller = Works with certain Wii and Wii U software
Pro Controller = Works with certain Wii U software
Gamepad = Works with Wii U software

Nintendo will be throwing up Wii Fit U soon, probably before June.

Sure,we can wait for Wii U Fit, good tip. I didn't know about that one. She also mentioned Just Dance 4 and Evolved 2013 (another workout game, I believe). That should tide her over.

I think you need 4 nunchucks for Metroid Blast with 5 people.Sure,we can wait for Wii U Fit, good tip. I didn't know about that one. She also mentioned Just Dance 4 and Evolved 2013 (another workout game, I believe). That should tide her over.

Thank you for all of the helpful recommendations. Here's what we ended up going with:
1 Wii U Deluxe (with Nintendo Land)
3 Wii Motion Plus Remotes (Pink, Blue, Black)
2 Nunchucks (Black, White)
1 NSMBU
1 Just Dance 4
They were sold out of white remotes, so that is still on the shopping list. Also, are there no blue and pink Nunchucks? Seemed a bit odd to be more limited in colors for a peripheral device. I did pick up the red silicon sleeve for the gamepad be it works like a charm. No fingerprints! So far, we're having a blast.
