hi everyone, i had to purchase a new wii u system due to my first being stolen,
ive been trying to log in with the name and password i created on the first but it keeps telling me its wrong, does anyone have any links for account recovery or password recovery please.

stolen? u have to report it as it can easily be traced...lol how it got stolen? You took it with u at school and advertised it? hahaha

You have to call nintendo for the account transfer, thats why... YOU have to report that it got stolen... not kidding.. or else, they wont do it... At the same time they will trace the thieves and you can ask compentation after...!!! your money back plus more from the thieves (plus they go to jail). differently, you cannot use the same account in 2 wii Us, as its account is binded with each indevidual wii U.

ok? im a bit old for school but thanks for the compliment, yes i have reported it to the police but the chances of getting it back are nil, and i have just tried logging into my account on the new wii u and it says you cant access it on 2 consoles, so i have no choice but to wait for an email back from nintendo who will hopefully help.
i didnt really wish to create a new account and loose the purchases i made so im gonna have to wait and see if they can transfer it.

they intruded your house and stole it? Why you dont call nintendo, emails may delay up to 10-20 days, they can do it st8 frwrd... Just tell us the country you live on, so the guys here, will give you the contact number of your country.

cool, let us know the result... Nintendo said it in the past, that they can transfer accounts from a wii U to another, but for the problematic machines... I believe your situation can due as well... Just be ready to prove your prev purchase and with all your account info you added previously. (reciept, id, username, maybe credit card number, etc). Also, if you have the manuals and the box of the prev machine, you may be able to give them the stolen serial number.. so they will lock it down or trace it, but I believe they got this info, because ur account is linked with this specific machine.

Let us know how it goes. I'm truly sorry this happened to you. Nintendo is pretty good at this kind of stuff though, so I don't see you having any issues getting it resolved.

Pretty sure they were referring to the fact that if the new owner ever goes online on the console then Nintendo can trace it to their ISP and blacklist it from being able to go online, or even brick it.

Then police shouldnt exist at all? If property of 300-400 hounded pounds of value has not value to act legal act against theft? ok update, have just spoke to nintendo, i can now use my original account as there going to unlink my old account so i can use it on my new console, BUT, they will not transfer my purchases of trine 2 and nano assult to my new console as they say they cant do that.

so whoever stole my console also has access to my 2 games i paid for, and nintendo will not do anything about it,
well done nintendo, a good way of looking after your paying customers!

Yeah, check to see if, on the eshop, it'll just let you redownload them.

ok, i was told by customer service that they will allow me to use my original account again, but can take upto 1 month to do this,
the 2 purchases i made which were trine 2 and nano assult i am not allowed to have, as these games are locked to the console.
the licence for the game is owned by nintendo, there is no way they can transfer them for me.

im a bit dissapointed in nintendo for this as the other 2 systems out there allow you to deactivate and then later in the year re-activate
and download your content again.

i explained to the rep that i would never buy another digital download again off nintendo, and was considering selling my wii u
as there stopping me using content i paid for and should own.

even if i had backed up my purchases onto an external drive it still would not have worked as its locked to the console you purchase
it on.

then turn it back to the store, no need to find another buyer ur self.. is it inside the 7 working days of purchase? But let nintendo know, that you returned the console. Sorry for what happened to u... There is noumerous topic in the UK forums.. its a virus there? Brits love looting...
