A couple days ago I bought my first headset for the Wii U which was pretty cheap but does the job very well.

As you know, Wii U headsets provide voice chat and also double as headphones too since it connects straight into the GamePad. I have never used headphones for gaming before but I am really impressed by the immersiveness they offer and I can hear things I would never of noticed before, they are awesome!

Anyway, I was just thinking how convenient it is to plug straight into the GamePad and that's it, no adapters or wires littering the floor that need connecting to the TV, I have heard complaints saying WIi U headsets are too quiet, not for me.

I did use a headset on Xbox 360 but it was the basic one that came with the slim console and could only be used for voice chat. With the other consoles I was put off getting a gaming headset as I heard you need multiple cables and adapters, correct me if I am wrong but don't you need extra cables for PS3/360 to have voice chat with in game audio?

actually the thing i hate is the fact you have to be plugged into the gamepad what if you want to use a pro controller kinda hard with the gamepad on its stand with a wire hanging out of it as you try to sit down to play a game your gamepad goes for a fall and brakes
