ive just found out the piston, the best spec will use an A10 7660m apu, which is not that powerful in terms of graphics performance!, not much more powerful than the wii u, although will have more possibilities with being pc based. I'm not sure if this is the actual steam box or just a "compatable steam box" backed by valve.

If the actual valve box is simmilar to this or is this, count me out lol, rather run steam in big picture mode with my core i5 and gtx 460, with much better performance!, now then the nvidia shield is looking like the best deal, a way to play your pc games on a handheld device anywhere in your home in HD with the best possible max graphics settings at 720P, on just a small screen that is going to look sweet! (depending on your actual pc spec)

so i dont think the wii u has to worry really, i mean nintendo gamers are still here while the pc is here, all the steambox is, is a pc made cheaply for tv use, which was possible anyway before the steambox announcement, so no difference.
