Ay up from Derby England, i spent three days reading in to the Wii U specs and comparing screen shots with other formats and ended up buying a black 'U' due to the fact that the early release screen shots are slightly better than the other formats, so in a year i believe this console should rock!
Looking to get zombiu first.
Not turning the console on until the control is charged so will have a gander about 6.30pm.
Paul.

Hi! Welcome to the forum, I'm still kind of a newbie too, but I love it here! ![:)](http://s.thewiiu.com/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png)
Anyways, when you do boot up your console, you will get asked to do an update. Click "Later" or something like that and it will download in the background. You can play a game around this time, however, DO NOT shut off the console, as your system has a chance to be bricked.

Thanks for the info guys, i left the download running while the control pad charged which took just over an hour. The problem i had was getting it to connect to the router!! i had to do a full manual setup which in this day and age is shocking! However apart from the rubbish time the control pad lasts before going flat i'm really happy with the consol. Will add peeps later today my gamer id is Pjsprojects and i'm bound to be an older gamer at 41 lol.
