An infinite loop would be fun for a while. Getting out of it could be challenging though.
If I had a portal gun, I might go to Kings Cross station and shoot a portal between platforms 9 and 10. Then I could run through my portal and pretend to be on Platform 9 3/4.

At least your version of Kings Cross station sounds likeable.
You do not want to go to Kings Cross in Australia. It's dangerous.

Travel by portal.
Shoot one of the portals in my house. save the other shot.
Using the secound portal, I shoot in the general direction I want to go. I shoot another portal on a wall. I take a peak out the portal to make sure it's not a long drop or anything, then jump through.
I repeat the secound processes until I'm at or near my destination. I check into a hotel, lock the dooor, then use the other shot I was saving to put a direct link to my house. I hop through and get all my stuff.
I close the secound portal.
