The only reason I didnt support the wii is because of the controller. I was raised on Nintendo consoles. My gameboy color and my N64 were my child hood. Thats why I am such a big Banjo fan til this day. When looking at the new announced games for the wii u I was like wow this system is getting more first party support. I was like whoa two Zeldas! But then it hit me.
The Gamecube had Twilight princess and a lot of people liked it. The wii then came out and Nintendo announced that they were porting T.P. to the wii. THEN!!! Nintendo released their next big Zelda game for the wii ala Skyward Sword......
See where im going??
Nintendo has just released their shiny new console and announced that they are remaking WIND WAKER!!! My favorite Zelda game.
This is where I hope Ninty doesn't fall back into a pattern. Of putting out a old Zelda on a new console and then making us wait for the next big Zelda.
Thoughts? Do you think that Nintendo is just repeating their selves or do you think they are getting back to their roots?
As a reborn Nintendo fan I think they are going back to the older days.

I'm looking forward to Wind Waker Reborn, it was my fave game on GC, it's not a port like Twighlight Princess, It's rebuilt from the ground up
What? Nope, it's a port with some added controls and a somewhat other lighting- and renderengine. Building it from the ground up would make no sence at all. It's all about bridging a gap. If they'd spend too much time on this it would mis the point. I do believe a smaller, less important studiobis doing the port.

I am a huge wii u supporter but didnt care for the wii. I had twighlight princess, I had Mario, I had donkey kong and so on and so forth.

You do know that the new Zelda game was going to take a long time anyway and is several years away. The whole point of rereleasing Wind Waker in an updated form is to appease people whilst they have to wait for the new one to be released. If you think the new Zelda game is going to be released any time soon I suggest you think again.

From what I've understood from the announcement its a lot more then that and its an actual remake or reboot.

Watch the Nintendo Direct again. Its an HD version with extra's. I hope the update the modelling too....but actually remaking it from scratch it sure is not.
I wasn't trying to imply it was being made completely from scratch but that there is a lot more to the update them what you're saying. And yes I did watch the Nintendo direct and I stick by what I said. At the end of the day its more them just an upscaled HD version which has been the case for most rereleases on consoles these days.
