It launched two months ago. And if that's not enough, we're talking about what's basically an enhanced re-release of a one year old game.
Nintendo hasn't released any heavy hitters, hence the low sales numbers. Do tell me why Wii U deserves higher numbers at this point in time.

I honestly see this gen being another N64/GCN for them. IE: The handheld sells insanely well and is able to carry the console.

Ah.
I don't expect it to take off like the Wii did, but I don't expect Gamecube numbers. In fact I'm inclined to believe Iwata can turn this around before the end of the fiscal year. The 3DS turnaround has made me pretty optimisitic.
