The game is already set for release on Windows and Mac; but, in an interview, developer Jonas Kærlev said:
Without making any promises, I think it will be likely that the game ends up on Wii U. I have been in touch with a publisher that is interested in putting it on that console, and I’d be more than interested in seeing that happen!
Taking pages from games like Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day,A Hat in Time stars the Hat Kid, a young girl who fights baddies and solves mysteries. Oh, and she travels through time too.
As if that wasn’t enough, the game features a cel-shaded art style not unlike that in The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker.
A Hat in Time is developed by Mecha the Slag, which promises at least 5 hours of gameplay in five unique worlds. Full release is set for the fourth quarter of this year.
What are your first impressions from this new 3D platformer? Would you like to see it on the Wii U eShop?
