Because of my current living situation I don't have my own room or T.V. atm, I am really looking forward to using the Wii U's gamepad mainly.

1. Can you pretty much do everything on the gamepad without turning on the TV? like miiverse, wii u dashboard features, online apps.

2. Assassins Creed 3 and Aliens Colonial Marines be played on the gamepad screen?

3. NSMB be played with random players online or only friends?

any answers would be appreciated thx.

1. Most if not all apps can be used directly from the GamePad

2. Assassin's Creed III supports off TV play. I'm pretty sure Aliens will.

3. NSMB U only has local multiplayer

It would be best if you got a TV but most functions can be used through the gamepad, but the setup might be a little iffy without one.
