How much to ensure that GTA5, Watchdogs and Destiny would come to WiiU too?

It would cost buckets... But
It would change a tendense, open other devs eyes, make the systems attractive to devs and hardcore gamers.

My question. Could Nintendo earn that money back by a huger installbase?

Watchdogs looks intriguing. Destiny is going to be HUGE. Like the next Starcraft huge (yes, aware if the irony regarding SC2 being out...).
Only bigger.
There is no reason for it not to be on the Wii U other than Activisions CEO (who happens to be making bank on sky landers, btw) irresponsibly stating he's disappointed in a console that's been out for a few months.
If the 360 and ps3 can do it, the Wii U can do 4 of them.

Watchdogs will likely end up on U. GTA as well. But Destiny is under Activisions control.

The one problem with Destiny in Wii U is that Destiny may force the player into many micro transactions. Nintendo had traditionally tried to protect their gamers from those kind of tactics. Nit they may be more open now with the U.

I thought Destiny would be a 360 exclusive since it is being developed by Bungie.

Bungie isn't owned by ms anymore.
They are publishing under Activision.
360 and ps3 are getting it just to get it out and to those install bases. But it's more a next gen game.

Interesting on the video documentary just released, bungie developers are txting each other on their iPhones to join each other in a game. And one of the developers types:

" my body is ready."

Well Rockstar would love to make GTA for the Wii U I'm sure but I heard Take 2 weren't sure if it could make money or not and were watching other "hardcore" third party ales before making a decision.

I have a feeling though that the Spetember delay is either because of a Wii U version in the works and they're getting gamepad controls ready OR that the game is facing development issues and Rockstar have clawed an extra few months in order to get it working properly. I'm hoping a little bit of both.

Watchdogs seems likely as Ubisoft were in love with Nintendo, and as they know the hardware a bit more now going multi-platform is a good business decision, hopefully they'll put more effort in getting PC textures and lighting etc like Criterion games have done with Need for Speed.

I'd love Destiny to come out on Wii U, however Bungie have been developing for very specific platforms, they probably don't even own a Wii U Dev kit. Up until recently the only dev kit they've used is a 360 one. They've got to get to grips with Sony's PS3, and only now are they working on next gen Dev Kits, who knows the Wii U may be included depending on resources.

Myself personally I'd like to see what Crytek can get out of the latest dev-kit with Crysis 3 and Kojima Productions with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes along with MGS4 with their Fox engine, see how much they can both squeeze from the Wii U. Not only would I think both games run great on the Wii U (and it'd be nice to prove it), I'd personally like to make the Wii U my primary console of the next generation instead of one I occasionally use, and i'd really love to play those (but if not I have my PS3).

As far as paying for third party IPs I'd say that Nintendo should pay third parties for an exclusive series rather than an already established multi-platform franchise. Other third party titles should in all honesty decide if they want their game on a Nintendo console however I feel that third parties should spend a little extra time making each version stand out and be counted, and for me that especially counts for Nintendo.

Just to add Bungie is an independent developer but I believe they have a contract with Activision to provide three games most likely all of them will be multiplatform.

I don't think we can say that GTA V will be released on the Wii U. Rockstar's hasn't traditionally supported Nintendo home consoles with GTA games only having released games in the series on the GBA and DS. I would be very surprised if GTA V ever made it to the Wii U. I also doubt Destiny will wither. The only one of those three that stands a chance is Watchdogs and that's only because Ubisoft has been a staunch supporter of Nintendo for a long time.

I'm not sure but until Microsoft started bringing out their console late in the race didn't Sony have some sort of really great friendship with Rockstar ever since the brought out GTA on the original Playstation? I think (I don't know) that must have meant some sort of unofficial exclusivity during the GC days. or Nintendo back then drew the line when it came to a game that violent to protect their reputation?

When it came to the Wii it was simply a case of not having a console that could handle GTA IV and again the relationship with Sony and now Microsoft was ever growing with profits.

Now Nintendo have the technology it's just a fact that Nintendo have been out of the game for so long and releasing a console half way through GTA V's development that it's understandable that Take2 have to now see how the Wii performs in sales with third parties. So far they're not great. However the September release could mean a Wii U version and at least PC version (no idea what they have against PC, the PC gave birth to them).

However I'm fine, I have Lego City in March which looks 1000x more fun and humorous than GTA V could ever be.

OMG, OMG, OMG wait....do you think TAKE2/ROCKSTAR could be monitoring the sales of Lego City to see how it sells, and if it sells well (as it has a similar vibe) they'll do a Wii U version of GTA V?

Right. Not owned by MS. Publishing under Activision.

They will be tied up with Activision for a while.

MS was the money train to keep them rolling.

Now, it is Activision. Though without killing the creative freedom so much.
