The Witness is an indie puzzle game developed by Jonathan Blow, and was announced during Sony’s conference to be released for the Playstation 4. However, when questioned about the game being for the Playstation 4 platform, he replied:
Basically, you’ll see The Witness on PS4 before you’ll see it on the next Microsoft console or on the Wii U, presuming we eventually do ports to those consoles. Ideally we want the game to be in as many places as we can get it, but since we are a small developer and it’s a complicated game, we can only do so much at once.
This means that we could possibly see the game for the Wii U, and personally I’d love that. The game looks interesting and would be a nice addition to the Wii U, possibly as a downloadable game from the eShop. Also, it appears it could make use of the GamePad with its various puzzles.
