It's just that you said mew would be a clone of mewtwo... But they're nothing alike besides similar DNA, if mew were playable it would probably play more like Ness with different spells of all kinds, mewtwo had a limited move pool (combining psycic moves) whereas mew's move pool is every TM in existance.

Oh i see. I did actually re-write the comment a couple of times because of this issue. I know that Mew and Mewtwo are different, but I think a lot of people don't, and Since they look so similar people would kind of get confused between the two (especially since the names are so similar) or dismiss mew as a clone. It's kind of hard to get what I mean across, but I feel like having characters that are similar in many ways (even if their powers are different) would cause some confusion and complications.

It also learns transform. You can bet Sakurai'd have some fun with that. Still it's not going to happen Mew's already known in Smash as being the rarest Pokeball Pokemon.

Wanting to have Mew as a playable character would be like wanting to have Unknown as a playable character.

Mew is in the game as one of the pokemon. He's not playable because he would just be a clone, and no one even wanted him, especially in comparison to Mewtwo.

I really doubt he'd be a clone of Mewtwo. Despite Mewtwo being a clone of Mew they are practically nothing alike. Mew's also like a fifth the size of Mewtwo so they'd have to be pretty different at least in the way Toon Link is to Link.

No. I genuinely never saw anyone ask for mew before this. I'm sure there were people out there who wanted it, but clearly not many of them...
