#191116 Fast & Furious: Showdown

Posted by Gamejunkie on 07 April 2013 - 08:58 AM

the wii u needs all third party games

No it doesn't. It only needs the quality ones which there really should be more of. Games like this have no place on any console as they just devalue it and end up giving it a bad reputation like all the rubbish shovelware games on the Wii.

#191043 Guys, knock it off.

To me you sound like a Sony fanboy disguised as a troll or you would at least be embracing the GOOD qualities of Nintendo gaming of which there are plenty.

I respect Sony for what they are doing with PS4. It's nice to see them actually do some innovative stuff for gaming with their software. Hardware wise, not so much, but that's hard to be innovative on without being regarded as a gimmick by many like the wii was.I probably won't get one simply because I consider myself a Nintendo gamer, but have a PC for games I can't get on Nintendo, and my friends usally go xbox so I will probably end up getting that to play whatever multiplayer games they have if I'm interested.

The part I have bolded here confuses me because in the rest of your post is basically bashing Nintendo, but then you are telling us to embrace ALL systems INCLUDING Nintendo which you just failed to put in a good word for at all? I don't understand what your point really is.

I'm neither a Sony fanboy or a troll. Unlike you and a lot of people here I criticise all three console manufacturers when its warranted and praise them when its warranted. You on the other hand just act like a fanboy and refuse to acknowledge that all three console manufacturers have pros as well as cons in terms of their hardware, the gaming experience they provide and their business practices. You obviously have trouble understanding me if you think I'm bashing Nintendo. Unlike you I'm realistic and I don't blindly accept Nintendo can do no wrong just like I'm realistic about both Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo still has a lot to learn and with the release of the Wii U they haven't learnt from their past mistakes and put in a half hearted effort in the console and the features and services they provide. In that respect both Sony and Microsoft do a far better job although that's not to say they are perfect either.

#190010 What brand of external hard drive would be best for the Wii U?

Posted by Gamejunkie on 04 April 2013 - 02:53 AM

I say go for Toshiba, they are cheaper than the other brands but still a quality company. I have a 500GB Toshiba and works perfectly with a Y cable and doesn't need a seperate power source. Wii U powers it itself.

Nintendo even recommend Toshiba in their compatibility list on their website, good luck.

Not when it comes to hard drives. Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor and LaCie are all far better.

#190007 Buying a UK Wii U for Australia

Posted by Gamejunkie on 04 April 2013 - 02:50 AM

Yeah, it will. They are region locked, but many countries are connected to make it simpler. PAL is used in both Australia and Europe.

PAL has nothing to do with it.

#187992 Sort Your carp crap Out, Nintendo

If we make our voice heard, someone at Nintendo will see.

No they won't. You're wasting your time and just creating another pointless thread in the process.

Fine then Mr Optimistic. I'm just getting my point out.

We have already got a million other doom and gloom posts and we don't need another.

#187986 Wii U won't be getting Unreal Engine 4

Posted by Gamejunkie on 29 March 2013 - 04:34 PM

LOL.

Man, and I thought the Wii U couldn't look any worse. When you have game developers start to actually laugh out loud at the mention of the "Wii U" you know things are bad.

If UE3 was any indication of how popular UE4 will be in the next few years, then it's seriously over for the Wii U. Ha, what a joke of a console, seriously. Also, saying that UE4 is catered to "Next-Gen" makes me ROFL as the poor Wii U sits with ZERO 3rd party support going into 2014.

Don't worry guys... you'll have Mario to save you!

So, I'm assuming every single Nintendo fan who has bought the same exact Mario game over the last 20 years is "Hardcore" ?

Talk about trolling these forums.

#187959 Future Miiverse Improvements Detailed

Sh!t just got real, MiiVerse is just getting better, I can't wait to see what it's like in 5 years time :D

In five years time there will be a new Nintendo console. ;)

Posted by Gamejunkie on 29 March 2013 - 09:51 AM

well, aparently for sony/xbox fanboys it still isnt clear enough

Just like certain things are not clear to Nintendo fan boys you mean. I don't know what you're getting at. There is nothing wrong with PS3 and 360 owners who want to play the game voicing their views. Nintendo console owners do the same thing when a game doesn't get released on their console.

well what i meant was why nintendo and not the other systems bc they could do they same thing if it was on their system.

Obviously they chose not to. That's their prerogative. Even though the first one was a decent game it's hardly a AAA game or a console seller. The sequel isn't going to move a lot of consoles. It seems a bizzare decision on Nintendo's part in funding the game and making it exclusive when there are other far better games they could have gone after.

#187662 Director's Cuts/Game of the Year editions can save the Wii U?

Posted by Gamejunkie on 29 March 2013 - 09:33 AM

I would love as many Director's Cut/GOTY Edition ports as possible!!

Personally, as a gamer who has never owned a 360 or a PS3 I will welcome all Ports with welcome arms simply because I have never even had the opportunity to play any of them.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this category....

Went straight from Gamecube/PS2 to Wii and then on to Wii U.

I disagree. If you want to play those games then you should buy a PS3 or 360. They are cheap enough. I already own both and have played or can play the games I want on them. I don't want the Wii U inundated with the same games just because developers and publishers are too lazy or don't want to invest the money in new games. That's not what I bought a Wii U for.

#187335 Early Spring Releases

Didn't they say May-June?

What they said and what will happen are two different things. They still haven't announced a firm release date.

#185852 What are a YOU going to do if GTAV is not coming to Wii U?

Posted by Gamejunkie on 24 March 2013 - 10:32 AM

I'm making the assumption that he's only saying that because Watch Dogs is coming out on Wii U as well. If Watch Dogs wasn't being released on the Wii U, he would probably feel the same way he feels with GTAV right now.

In which case there are other games coming out on the Wii U too like the new Assassin's Creed. Its not so much that there are other games but that the GTA games are a major franchise.

#185323 Wii U isn't doomed but it seems to be in trouble.

Posted by Gamejunkie on 22 March 2013 - 09:54 AM

Well I'm being serious here. I know intendo faithful(I would consider myself one) seem to think they can make it through anything. But the little things are adding up to make it seem a lot worse. Somewhat slow OS with system lockups happening all over the place, no hype for the system, developers questioning the system capabilities, lack of third party games announced, third party games that are announced isn't getting the same content and lack DLC that other versions are getting, 3 US retailers have discounted the system in the last week, and last but not least just nintendo's lack of caring it seems. They aren't saying much.... Is that a good or bad sign?

Well if you were being serious then you wouldn't have posted yet another doom and gloom thread when there are countless ones already.

It certainly good news and about time too. However it should never have been implemented in the first place.
