When E3 rolls around, and especially after the Wii U Launches, I believe we should increase it to 10 'recent topics'.
News will flood like crazy soon.

#74285 Call of Duty

It has a 0.01% chance of not coming to the Wii U.

That's how much influence the CoD haters have on the industry.

Treyarch went as far as supporting the Wii with World at War, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 3, and has become the highest selling FPS on the Wii. Nintendo knows that the series is valuable asset, regardless of gameplay. If they were given the opportunity to have it on their system, they ain't going to knock it back.

#74532 Vague, Cryptic and Off-topic Topic Titles

If it has an implied meaning I think it's fine.  But implied is not cryptic nor misleading.

Plus, people are now using the general discussion more for gaming topics even more.

In advance sorry if I am not totally clear for it is hard to type on the iPhone.
I have always been a Wii gamer and I am an avid wii CoD player.
First thing first, I am pretty sure that the WiiU version of CoD will have all of the features the 360 and ps3 versions will have, but I want to discuss a few features the WiiU could exculsively have. First I would love to be able to play with the Wiimote, as it has wonderful first person shooter controls. Secondly I would like the map to be on the screen on the controller. This next idea is probably my best, have the option to turn off the map and on the camera on the controller. Then you could look down and basically video chat with everybody. And on the killcam if the person you got killed by had the camera on you could see his reaction.
Feel free to comment on my ideas and post your own.

#72669 Wii U to support directx 11? let's talk

Posted by Stewox on 17 April 2012 - 12:27 AM

Lets be clear on that it's "DX equivalent" - it's not DX at all.

Consoles don't rely on APIs - developers can suck out all the features and performance the hardware has, regardless of API features. But advanced machine code programming is very hard - only a few developers have the knowledge, skills and programming resources to fully ulitise the power - these are companies like ID Software, EPIC, Crytek ...etc ; Crytek doesn't have that much of a good skills for console games obviously in design/creativity - crysis 2 disaster.

Id Software proved that with idTech5 in Rage more than any other company. It's way ahead of the competition.

Having that in mind that closed console platforms usually have the open access to all the hardware on a very low level. Comparing WiiU hardware with equivalent PC hardware is only the on-par or the minimum of the console's actual practical capabilities -

So the capabilities of the console would appear more than actually when comparing raw hardware, to the equivalent performance on PC benchmarking since becase of all the  driver, API , OS overhead 40% of the performance is lost.

#72241 Do you think Nintendo should buy back Rare

May I ask why you hate Conker?

It seems to me, that all it banks on is being vulgar, with very little worthwhile gameplay.

#70416 Dislike Button or Disagree System

Posted by Joshua on 07 April 2012 - 06:37 PM

A dislike button works on that site because well *laughs maniacally*... I mean no one gives two poops. Or three.

Funnily enough the dislike option works pretty well on Youtube; at least after they removed the users' ability to see the amount of dislikes a commenter had.
