The Lost Bloodlines 2 map will be releasing on March, 7th! This is the DLC that includes Alm and the Dread scroll. The map will be $2.50 and you can buy the entire Lost Bloodlines Pack for $6.00.

#178474 What companies are you boycotting

Posted by SolxBurst on 02 March 2013 - 10:43 PM

Trust me the shining force stuff is enough to get me to boycott sega.

Yes there are always developers.

If the game looks fun and the publisher is being BS then I just get it used since no one gets cash, but they got cash from 1 copy.

If the publisher is being BS, then I try not to involve myself in it. For example, if they are doing stupid micro-transactions (EA) then I don't buy those transactions. If they are doing stupid DLC (Capcom) then I don't buy the DLC. This isn't perfect and some things you have to involve yourself in to play the games, but its sure better then not getting a game that you could love just because of a gripe I have with some publisher.

I don't boycott companies because there is always a developer behind that game who worked his tail off to make his vision come true, support his family, and had no ill intentions of screwing us over. If I think a game looks fun, I'll buy it, in fact, it would take something extremely radical to get me to boycott a company.

A new video was released showing a lot of the DLC for FE: A. This will have some spoilers for the DLCs.

I just learned that Rei Kondo, was one of the composers on Fire Emblem: Awakening! Who is he? A composer from Okami! No wonder the music rocks so hard!

#175789 Suggestion: Limit Thread Creation Frequency

Posted by SolxBurst on 24 February 2013 - 07:12 PM

Imagine you're new, you make an introduction thread, and then go to hardware help because you can't sync your wiimote only to be told "Nope, chuck testa. Also you can't post new threads until 5 minutes from now".
You'd leave the forum.
And these people aren't a problem at all imo.

There would have to be some exceptions to the rules, and the limit should probably be at 2-3. But I understand your concern.

I just don't want situations where someone (dtrexgaming is the most recent incident) posts 5 topics all at once, fills the entire recent topics list, and causes all other recent topics to be pushed away and not found as easily. I think it is unnecessary that you can post that many topics in such a short time frame.

#175763 Suggestion: Limit Thread Creation Frequency

I'll get straight to the point on this one. To prevent members from clogging up the "Recent Topics" sidebar and to help prevent topic spam from newcomers. We should have a limit on how many topics you can make a day/hour or whatever frequency that works best. The point is, there should never be a need for someone to post 5 topics within the same hour and it should be limited, or it should at least be limited for new members till they get to a certain milestone.

Please, tell me what you think about this idea!

#172685 What features would u like on Wii U

Posted by SolxBurst on 18 February 2013 - 09:02 AM

I hate saying this but Wii U needs apps, like what Apple has on the iPad. They are trying to make the gamepad work as a tablet replacement (at home anyways) but they don't have enough apps. For example, they have stuff like video streaming (i.e. Netflix, Hulu Plus), web browsing, and social networking but I think that they should implement stuff like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, TwitchTV, Pandora, iTunes, email, Skype etc.. These are just examples of what Nintendo could implement into the console to make it more of an entertainment center, which is something Nintendo has never really done before. This combined with all the great gaming experiences, MiiVerse, and Nintendo TVii would make the Wii U the best entertainment system in the market. But Nintendo needs to start this and make deals with these people to get this stuff made.

The other things I want for Wii U is a Xbox Live Party like system for cross-game chat, and them to fix their Video Chat.

I think that Lon'qu is quite possibly the best character in this entire game. Full stop.

Platform: Nintendo 3DS

Genre: Turn-Based Strategy RPG

Synopsis: The story focuses on the prince of the Halidom of Ylisse and his companions as they struggle during a turbulent era. Players are able to combine the might of nearby allies using Pair Up and enter dual battles using the Dual System to defeat enemies. Gameplay footage shows that the traversable world map, last seen in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, and special skills like Aether from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn will make a return. This game will feature a playable character that can be customized, with different faces, hair, sizes, and voices; you can also customize some of your character's stat progression. This game features 4 difficulties, (The hardest, Lunatic +, is unlockable) and in addition to the difficulties is a separate Classic and Casual mode. Classic makes it so once you lose a character, they are dead forever, and never come back; Casual lets you lose chracters, but they come back after you finish the mission.

Reception: Fire Emblem: Awakening was widely praised by critics, receiving a very impressive average of 92 out of 100 on Metacritic (With 33 reviews), with the lowest score being an 85. The game got multiple perfect scores from Digital Spy, Pocket Gamer UK, Gaming Age, The Escapist, and Darkstation. #169730 To all the Wii U / Nintendo apologists....

Posted by SolxBurst on 10 February 2013 - 10:00 AM

I love my Wii U, and while I agree with a few of your points (to a point though) I don't think that I have been cheated with my purchase. I have had so much fun playing Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U and those are better launch titles than I have seen on any other console. I do think that Nintendo was rushing the Wii U out for this past holiday season, but ended up working out great. And with the promise of The Wonderful 101, Bayoneta 2,Waker HD, a new 3D Mario, a new Mario Kart, Shin Megami Tensai X Fire Emblem, "Monolith X", the next Zelda, Smash Bros. 4 and more! They have me excited. And there are also the games I haven't picked up from launch I want to get. I just don't have the money to keep up with all the stuff I want to get.
