#174362 Activision "disappointed" with Wii U

#173982 Ubisoft confirms Watch Dogs for Wii U

Posted by Plutonas on 21 February 2013 - 05:36 AM

well if anybody wants the superior version of it and smooth online experience, PC is the way to go... if you have the appropriate PC also...  ps4 is a crapy cheap pc compared to a pc.

For me personal, I have different aspect in that.

If watchdogs comes with moding tools, ITS A 100% buy for my PC.  Moding is a next level.

If the game is like sleeping dogs style a bit more innovative... It will be a wii U buy.   Because from a point and after, if the game does not appeal to me fo rmy pc experience, I can compromise with lower graphical capabilities, than pc, but also have more fun in my living room.

I made a topic in ubisoft about it, screaming about the bad ports... and requested them to be careful with that...

here it is... dont flame me, I expressed to them my personal opinion  http://forums.ubi.co...atch-dogs-Wii-U

textures are fine.. my graphic card that is a PC, 10 times more heavier applications with windows, dlls, pc components... 1,5 gig of vram and it could handle easily 8 gig of 6k textures in skyrim... open world. Dont worry about it.. It is only in the developers hands.

The extra ram in sony and 720 (if they have, because rumors want them with 4 gigs... wii U was also rumored for 4 and 3 gigs)... is for other things.  Xbox 720 will run windows 8 and windows 8 is 2 gigs minimum... lets make it 1 gig of dedicated ram, as its a console... As for ps4, I dont know what they have in mind... I think sony is pointing in 4k ress, if thats true, THEY CANT use 1080p textures, it will look fluffy!!! They need at least 2k or 4k textures! Nobody uses 4k tv after all.

#173279 [Photo] Wii U GPU Die

Posted by Plutonas on 19 February 2013 - 08:43 PM

it proves to be an E6760 that nobody accepts easily, they dont want to!!.. lol   look at this

http://www.nintendo....ch-specs/ it says : AMD Radeon™-based High Definition GPU

and look at this.

http://en.wikipedia....i/Radeon_R700   and this http://en.wikipedia....en_(GPU_family) Both are rv700 and r800  (4xxx gpu and 5xxx gpus) They are NOT AMD branded, it is ATI branded (amd bought ATI and the AMD gpus start from 6xxx series!!) http://en.wikipedia....ds_(GPU_family)

I pointed that to gaf, because they all speak for rv7.... They trolled me in IGN forums, they dont want to listen about e6760, they want to believe that wii U does not have the dx11 hardware features!!! lol funny but true.

that alone proves that wii U is using  AMD radeon based gpu (As nintendo states) technology, that means 6xxx series and up. So it may not be 320 spus, but 480 instead!

Nobody can say that wii U uses rv700 chip, because it conflicts with the branding... it should be ATI radeon rv7 instead.  Its not even r800 (5xxx gpu) because it is also ATI branding.

Even if AMD bought ATI and they are one company... AMD keeps the ATI branding for 4xxx and 5xxx gpus  http://www.amd.com/u...on-hd-5000.aspx

but its not accepted by the reviewers.. hmmmm

#173086 Cloud Gaming (in general)

Posted by Plutonas on 19 February 2013 - 01:00 PM

Its a bubble.... u buy things without owning them. So you actually rent them.. lol

If you buy a physical copy, you have it, its yours... In the beginning they gave us the restrictions, to stay connected on the internet, be able to play with physical copies.

Now they go even further. You dont get anything, just a digital receipt of something you cant hold.  So if they bankrupt, get banned or a meteor, tsunami, war, natural disasters, alien invasion... take with them, the company who holds in "their servers" ur purchase (digitally).. you loose everything, your money and your purchases.

You see why its bubbles? You buy something that you trust in someones else hands, a ghost gaming and money draining system. Also cloud demands you to pay bills (internet and phone services forever)

#172919 Zelda U Ideas

Posted by Plutonas on 19 February 2013 - 01:49 AM

I think the demos showed at E3, was for a more powerful devkit,  real time CGI style rendered graphics... but who knows... probably it can do it.

Thats the biggest mistake of nintendo, they changed a couple of times wii U specs after 2011 and many developers got angry.

#170682 Hmm just found The cave and Trine 2 on 360 & PS3?

Posted by Plutonas on 12 February 2013 - 09:57 AM

yes, but the best version is on wii U... even in graphics

#167659 [Photo] Wii U GPU Die

Posted by Plutonas on 06 February 2013 - 10:14 AM

To make you understand better... XBOX360 gpu is 240 gflops....  The minimum for wii U is 352 and maximum near 740.  (as for the ram bandwidth, wii U is 3-4x times faster)

Either ways, there is a catch... Technically only, wii U may be 1.5x better than 360. But all games of the current gen, codded for the cpu instead!! that is 46 gflops.. lol

Now if the companys (game developers) reverse that and make games for "GPU centric" machines, then wii U will be in another level... Not only because wii U is 1x or 4x times better, just because the industry use the right resources, this time.  360gpu may be 240gflops, but it was old architecture!!! slower. There is many factors in the tech. Even if they upgraded the 360 to gpgpu after, it was extremly limited.

How many games we know, that use GPU instead of cpu? Trine? Crysis 1-3?  not many... battlefield 3...

#167302 Should i get the Wii U?

Posted by Plutonas on 05 February 2013 - 02:18 PM

wait after april, is my personal opinion.  Because Nintendo said, the (the next rev of wii Us, after april) will come with pre-installed update and that is very important!!!!  Is going to be bug free and risk free... at least in the major problems it has today.

#157416 'Crysis 3' not coming to Wii U due to lack of "business drive"

Posted by Plutonas on 07 January 2013 - 06:21 PM

for benchmarking... I tried to play crysis 2, but I had no interest after 2 hours and I never touched it again. And I speak about PC, that is the best version.

A game I would love to see on wii U by EA, is sims 4 (is comming out this year I think)... its an open world, sim world, but what makes it ideal for wii U, is the controller and the ability to built and disign houses!!! So it could be a great fit with the controller and the stylus! especialy if they have online mode.. to meet other sims/players.

I would suggest you to start petitions from today, about upcoming games.. dont make them in the last momment!

#153294 My first impressions.

Posted by Plutonas on 28 December 2012 - 05:56 PM

xbox didnt have the party rooms thing when it came out... it changed OS a couple of times and they improved it... so I am sure wii U will get improvements also. I am mostly concerned about the luck of mic and audio outputs in the pro controller...  more than the online wii U factions.

First of all nintendo needs hardcore players with hardcore games.. after that, nintendo will listen to its customers and it will balance wii U on their demands..
For example all this multiple controllers, is a result of casual customers... Hardcores need 1 working thing in their hands and good looking, playable games... other than that, nintendo will do its best to improve their services. Its to early to be unimpressed.. And the demand will bring the change.

I would advice you, to send feedbacks to nintendo, so you let them know what you want to see in the near feature on wii U.

Ps: even if I didnt bought wii U yet, (i will) I send a couple of email in the past to nintendo and I saw many things, that I wished to see, in wii U!! so I believe nintendo listens...

#152064 Anyone else having connection issues

Posted by Plutonas on 26 December 2012 - 06:48 AM

if you search on google... ur the first wii U owner with this "error code" but there is plenty with connection issues..

BUT...

IT appears that this codes exist indevidually...

the error code 506  is a connection problem
the error code 4011 is a power up problem...   type on google "error code 4011"  then type again "error code 506" You will see it your self

so maybe your wii U conflicts between these 2 problems...
