As big of a MGS fan as I am, and as much as I will preach that a game's length doesn't matter, I will not be picking this up, and I implore everyone to do the same. You're paying for what's essentially a cut tutorial, from a main game. No matter what you argue, you're paying good money for what's essentially a demo, and that's not ok in my book.

Mario is Nintendo's mascot, and most-known series. It warrants a higher amount of characters.
Kid Icarus is a series that was dead for around a couple of decades, only recently to have been revived for one game. It's not comparable to Mario at all.
It's fine to have Pit. But a second character is far too excessive, and showing obvious bias, especially when series like Metroid - which have stayed relevant throughout all of these years - only has one rep.
I feel like there's a pretty huge distinction between showing bias, and having relevant characters.
While you're 100% correct with just about everything including how something like Metroid has stayed relevant throughout all these years, I'm not entirely sure who else would be an interesting fighter from a series. The only character I can think of is someone like Ridley, who even still I feel wouldn't work for a number of reasons.
Palutena on the other hand could be a potentially interesting character (we haven't seen her in action yet so I can't say for sure), and has had a game released relatively recently.

Do we even know what platform that smtfe thing is for?
It'd make sense for it to be for Wii U, but I dunno.
You could swap it out for both dk and yoshi though.
There could be a weegee's mansion for wii u to be announced this year, since they're making that bs two years long it seems.
It has been confirmed to be a Wii U game, but that was also well over a year ago at this point, so for all we know it could be a Game Boy Advance game at this point in development.

This is what they've needed to do for a while now.
I'm glad that they've kinda owned up to the fact that they can't stay the same direcbtion for so many years and expect to have continued success. I hope they have something amazing planned to fix this.
