Infinity Blade is a great game considering it's on a mobile and Infinity Blade 2 also looks great. Real Racing 2 is another one of the iOS games that looks terrific. Given that these games are just often a tenth of the price of a game for a handheld console, I can see why there are people opting to buy iPod Touches instead of proper handhelds. The only ptoblem is that very few games actually really push what the devices are capable of and there are some games which suffer from a lack of physical buttons, although the examples I gave don't suffer from either of these.

#52320 WiiU most powerful in the next gen?

Posted by AMAC on 07 January 2012 - 06:03 AM

To be honest, I think that the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be more powerful than the Wii U, but I think there'll be a much smaller gap than there is with the current gen consoles.

#52018 I'm very sorry?

what is a cache

It basically stores some data, such as images, so web pages can be loaded faster. The reason TheRedBomber's avatar isn't showing up properly is probably because his cache is showing the old image which is stored there. If you don't use Opera, then you can google "how to clear cache on [insert browser]" and you should find a guide easily. Alternatively, you can just wait for your cache to clear automatically, which shouldn't be too long.

#48875 What color/decoration would you want on your wii u?

Posted by AMAC on 23 December 2011 - 04:00 AM

A shiny black controller and console would be nice (until they get covered in fingerprints) without any decorations. White would also be fine.

#42431 Super Mario 3D Land promoting animal cruelty?

Posted by AMAC on 17 November 2011 - 01:35 PM

Am I the only one who thought it was some sort of joke from the beginning?

To be honest, I've considered PETA to be a joke for a while now.

What annoys me about PETA is that they seem to allocate more resources to these silly publicity stunts than they do for actually helping animals. They could do much more for animals of they weren't spending their time making these little "animal-friendly" games.

#41019 School!

Posted by AMAC on 06 November 2011 - 02:35 AM

Y'know what, I'm going to say my grades from practice SAT's.

Writing-5C (my teacher says I'm let down by my handwriting and paragraphing).
Maths-5C (I scraped this score, if I'd got one less it would have been a 4A).
Reading-5A (I was 2 marks off getting everything right in this test).

If anybody's wondering, Science has been cut off SAT's (thank goodness, I'm utter crap at it as a subject -w-)

What? Why has science been cut? Like English and Maths, it's a subject that everyone doing SATs will have to do for the next five years of their lives (something for you to look forward to :P ) so I don't see the reasoning behind scrapping it as a SAT. Education really is being dumbed down these days. -_-

#40753 Steve Jobs more Influential then Miyamoto, What!?

Posted by AMAC on 03 November 2011 - 09:06 AM

The only logical explanation to this is that 26% of those taking the survey thought it was about the technology industry, rather than the gaming industry. Steve Jobs and Apple are responsible for several great products and have redefined products like MP3 players and Tablet computers with the iPod and iPad respectively. The App Store has also had a huge impact on mobile gaming and the quality of games available for phones has improved dramatically over the last few years. However, Steve Jobs has not influenced the gaming industry nearly as much as the likes of Nintendo and Microsoft.

Oh my god... what crap. The iPhone probably wouldn't even exist if it hadn't been for the touchscreen DS. The games on it probably wouldn't exist if Nintendo hadn't saved the industry. This is ridiculous, even that site says it is if you read it all. The guy who made facebook helped gaming? Fat. Chance. One of my friends spent £500 on an iPad (ironically now complaining about having no money). He bought angry birds on it, one of my friends showed him Ocarina Of Time on his N64. Do you know what my friend said?
"Lol, that's crap compared to Angry Birds."
Once again, you learn why I only have a few male friends in real life -w-.

Why would one of your friends even want an iPad (assuming that he's about your age)? At that age I would have been much more interested in a DS or PSP than a  device like that which is predominantly used for browsing the web.

#38988 metric or imperial?

Posted by AMAC on 27 October 2011 - 10:36 PM

Living in Britain, I generally use the metric system, but there are some occasions where we use imperial, such as using miles per hour instead of kilometres per hours for speed limits. Oh, and I added the poll for you.

#38165 wii u hardware already a flop

Posted by AMAC on 23 October 2011 - 02:10 AM

I  don't really see how this thread is going to go anywhere if you're choosing not to believe any of the evidence given by other members. I don't think there's any real reason to believe that the Wii U hardware is a flop at this point in time. I'm locking this thread now as I can see a flame war breaking out here.

#37583 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Posted by AMAC on 22 October 2011 - 10:49 AM

I can't stand that so called "men" watch this show! It drives me crazy that men, especially GROWN MEN like this show! It's a little girls' cartoon already! AUGHHH!!! >.<
PEDO ALERT! PEDO ALERT!

I don't see how men watching MLP affects you in any way and accusing those who watch it of being paedophiles is just immature. I don't have a problem with you disliking MLP, but grown men are perfectly entitled to watch it and you should respect the fact that a lot of us do like MLP. If it's really that big a problem for you, then I'm not sure why you're posting in this thread.

#37007 See you all later...

We'll miss you Waller. Hopefully you'll be back before too long. On the plus side, this is a major blow to the ADPF! :P

#36636 Hello. The name is Reborn!

-My little pony. (You laughed I know you did!)

I'm not laughing. Half the members here, including myself, watch the show. Anyway, welcome to Wii U Forums. I'm AMAC, the moderator here. As well as ponies, I enjoy Formula 1, snowboarding and football. If you ever need any help you can contact me, or the site's admin, Feld0. Enjoy your stay here!

#35641 Not-clickable sliders, an issue?

Posted by AMAC on 09 October 2011 - 10:30 AM

There's plenty of other buttons that can be used for things like sprinting. The R button is used for sprinting in some PSP/3DS games, so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets used for sprinting on Wii U Games. There probably are some games where clickable circle pads would be good, but I don't see this as a major issue for the Wii U.

#34743 Known facts

Posted by AMAC on 02 October 2011 - 01:38 PM

I am just wondering if you can take the Wii U along with you for traveling also while playing Wii games and Wii U games?

I'm afraid not. The controller streams games from the console, so it would have to be kept close to the console for this to work.
