Yes, most games are upscaled, but the signal from the WiiU hdmi is always 1080p (unless you have chosen 720p in the WiiU settings), so your TV only knows it's a 1080p signal.

If your concern is that you might find a cheaper WiiU later on, I think now is a good time to buy. If your concern is that you might enjoy the games that will come out for the PS4 in the (far?) future and you will lose money when selling your WiiU to get a PS4 instead, well... I can't really be of much help, just think it through and make up your mind. Personally, I'm quite sure the exclusives on the WiiU are the ones I'll enjoy the most, but if the install base of the WiiU continues to be small, you should be aware that some multiplats might skip it.

I'm playing Majora's Mask now, so sure.

 

But you still need another controller, right? You can't make the Wii part of the Wii U think the gamepad is a classic controller?

This review from Metacritic is kind of interesting. Maybe it's fake, I mean, I'm quite sure not all magazines would force their reviewers to give it at least a 9, so there would be at least one or two more than The Escapist agreeing. But who knows, right?

After so many hours of gameplay I have come across too many bugs(even more than Skyrim's when it was first released.And to say the truth some of them are game-breaking for me.So playability(putting controls aside) will take a 3/10.
I am not gonna rate the AI as it feels too much scripted and the AI was never the strongest point of the GTA series.
All in all I am gonna give this game a 7/10.It certainly has pontentials but at its current state is not better than GTA 4."

But it's a well written review, he clearly states what he doesn't like about the game.

Most of the best games for the gamecube were rereleased for the Wii (Pikmin 1-2, Resident Evil 4, Zelda TP, Metroid Prime) or even the Wii U (Zelda WW). Killer7, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness and Prince of Persia SoT should be impossible for licensing reasons. That leaves us with... Super Mario Sunshine?

I just find his answer to be rather funny considering the wiius launch line up was rather weak and pretty much as bad if not worse than the ps4/1. Now it was smart of him to specify that wiiu current line up is better but idk when someone who is fat makes fun of someone else for being fat is just wrong you know lol I feel the same applies to this.

No, not really. He's not making fun of them for having a bad launch line-up. He's saying, since they have a "meh" launch line-up, just as the WiiU had (which he didn't say of course, but could have said), it's better to buy a Wii U who has some great games. That is actually the whole point - the launch line-up matters if you're buying the console at launch, not if you buy it a year later.

 

That cloud/TVii statement is just weird though.

We all enter the world the same way and leave it the same, what you do in between is up to you. I came from a poor family were our parents, although tried there best struggled to provide for us. I worked my ass off when I was younger to get the things I have now, all I'm saying is, don't assume everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth, if you put your mind to it you can do anything, and call it inspirational bull crap if you want but it's the truth.

 

So, you're saying that everyone, regardless of what family they were born in, can be rich enough to own two video game consoles if they just work hard enough? Using yourself as an example just proves that it happened to one perosn, not that it is possible for everyone. But I'll just leave you with your beliefs. I mean, people believe in all sorts of things, right?

If your old enough to legally play GTA you should be old enough to afford more than one console.

Edit: I actually don't know the law of your country, here it's legal to play any game at any age. My point is just that your argument is silly.

What was disappointing was:

1) Super Mario 3D World

2) Retro's game was DKC

3) Lack of surprise games

 

Otherwise... yeah, it looked really good.

I think it's a bad thing image-wise for a few reasons. First of all, bad games give a console bad reputation, even if there are also good games for it. It's better if there are 20 good games and 10 bad games available than 21 good games and 10 000 bad games. Secondly, a kid will have a harder time asking their parents for a good game when it costs 10 times as much as other games available, crappy as they may be. Thirdly, I don't think Nintendo want people to think of the Wii U as a console for mobile games. 

Most people criticising the Wii U are kids only playing fps games. If you are a kid only playing fps games, then, by all means, listen to the critisisms, otherwise ignore it.

He's clearly stuck! In the 90s? And has no clue what modern gamers are or what their interested. In Nintendo needs, to get rid of it, stubborness? It's habit!!! Of rehasing games, its family friendly image and its reluctance to graphics. And third partys - the gaming industry... Does not take nintendo seriously and its to the point?

Where people only, by Nintendo consol, for first party games "iwate" is blind. To what goes on? In the gaming community and needs. To step down and allow. Someone new to bring Nintendo up, to modern times and make Nintendo the respectable company. It once was!

How many times can one person say the word "commercial" In one short video..

It depends on how short the video is. There is no problems saying "commercial" twice a second (if the video isn't too long), so in a 10-minute video like this one, a person can quite easily say it a thousand times, if he or she really puts an effort into it.
