''Super Smash Bros 3Dimensions'' & ''Super Smash Bros Universe'' would have worked for me...

They're doing it to avoid confusion.

They could of also named them Super Smash Bros Universe and Super Smash Bros 3Dimension. How do you get confused if both games have different cases and aren't the same systems?

I don't want this, it's so lazy. 

As disappointed as I was by watching the Direct on my iPhone at work, when I came home my kids(4,6) were actually watching the demo's via the eshop on Wiiu.... And they were absolutely thrilled.

'Dad, we just saw a game where we can battle with Mario and Donkey Kong' and 'also, a Mario Kart, but we don't need that because we have that Sonic whats it called racing game', where my son replied 'duh, but that one doesn't have MARIO'. 'But dad, please come watch, we saw a Mario game like on mom's 3ds and it's that same game but we can play together'. 'Yeah, and a game with adorable animals which you can take care of and there is a boy and girl version'.....(pokemon x/y).

.....well, at least they liked it and it seems that I know where my gaming budget will be spend on. Only thing I love more than gaming, is watching them play, learn and cooperate. Well Nintendo, good job. Maybe I was looking at this from a wrong point of view, and is it not you who went wrong, but did I outgrow you. At least the kids will have a safe gaming invironment to start learning the how games, internet and communication works.

During the IGN post-show discusion they said they believe that Retro is working on a second game that hasnt been shown yet

It seems like most of the games that were on it have been revealed or are yet to be revealed. 

 

Super Mario Wii U= Super Mario 3D World

Yoshi's Land Wii U= Yoshi's Epic Yarn 

Donkey Kong= Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Frost

Resident Evil= Resident Evil Revelations or perhaps a new game?

Metal Gear Solid= No news of anything yet. 

FF3= Remake? Soon to be announced, probably? 

Dragon Quest 10= Most likely to be localized soon 

Zombie= Probably ZombiU 

Metroid= Super Metroid on the E-Shop? Doubtful. It could be a new game. 

 

Really interesting on how such a simple exploit revealed many of the games that turned out turned, I wished there was another way to find an exploit, there would probably be more games on that list now. 

Am I the only one who was IMPRESSED by MK8 graphics?

I thought MK8, Donkey Kong, Smash and the new 3D Mario were beautiful. The lighting effects were great. You could never tell that they hadn't made HD games before.

Smash, MK, and 3D World all look great. What do you want, PC graphics? If so get a PC.

Graphics are amazing but the gameplay is terrible

I liked the games that were shown, I just wish there were "more" of them.
