#232674 Creative Studios

Posted by Lupaie on 17 July 2013 - 11:21 PM

Seems like there is something in this idea but Amnesia is right.

Yes I fear so, but just like in F1 a fixed spend roof would give studios equal chances and could save the industry in the long run.

#220233 E3 and the Gamepad

Posted by Lupaie on 12 June 2013 - 07:55 AM

I have not seen much of it. Thats why I think even Nintendo doesn't know what to do with it. But hey, even if it was only for the offtv gaming, I would be happy with it.

#220105 Zelda U was supposed to be shown

I'm dutch. Will translate it ... Oh it's not on their site they only retweeted it (but indeed, the Quint guy is N1ntendo staff)...But more troublesome: Quint Zieltjens ‏@QuintZiel 13m Ubisoft: 'We have reduced plans for WiiU following the soft launch and we expect price cuts given sales and the current, weaker yen.' #219816 Something amazing happened

Posted by Lupaie on 11 June 2013 - 02:26 PM

As disappointed as I was by watching the Direct on my iPhone at work, when I came home my kids(4,6) were actually watching the demo's via the eshop on Wiiu.... And they were absolutely thrilled.

'Dad, we just saw a game where we can battle with Mario and Donkey Kong' and 'also, a Mario Kart, but we don't need that because we have that Sonic whats it called racing game', where my son replied 'duh, but that one doesn't have MARIO'. 'But dad, please come watch, we saw a Mario game like on mom's 3ds and it's that same game but we can play together'. 'Yeah, and a game with adorable animals which you can take care of and there is a boy and girl version'.....(pokemon x/y).

.....well, at least they liked it and it seems that I know where my gaming budget will be spend on. Only thing I love more than gaming, is watching them play, learn and cooperate. Well Nintendo, good job. Maybe I was looking at this from a wrong point of view, and is it not you who went wrong, but did I outgrow you. At least the kids will have a safe gaming invironment to start learning the how games, internet and communication works.

#219489 Nintendo, the innovator of yesteryear

Posted by Lupaie on 11 June 2013 - 08:53 AM

they cant make any major changes. they added new characters and stages. unless you want all the characters to have shotguns and run around shooting players off the stage.

If adding a few characters and a hd shine is all you'd expect, you're an easy customer.

New moves, other systems, maybe 3d, ....and maybe a lot is possible. But to be honest maybe it's in there but wasnt showed.

#219410 Nintendo, the innovator of yesteryear

Posted by Lupaie on 11 June 2013 - 08:18 AM

Now, I'm lost. Sure Nintendo is the innovator. Every generation they use the same IP but do innovative things with the IP as well as the hardware. This time around I'm scratching my head.

I expected a new innovative Mario which would once again show the world how to use the hardware and do new things with it. I was sure.

But...

Mario 3d - hd brother of 3ds version
Zelda - hd version of gc game
Kart - hd rehash of 3ds and wii version
Smash - hd version of wii game concept
Donkey - hd version of wii game concept

It's not that I didnt expect these IP's but I wanted them to feel fresh. It's like even Nintendo doesnt know what to do with the gamepad.

I'm most excited about the upgrade in miiverse drawing, and that says a lot. And yes, bayonetta, w101 and X....three external games make up for it... A bit. The 3rd party trailer was ....Damn

#216955 Clash of the Centuries: Modern media X Orchestra

Posted by Lupaie on 06 June 2013 - 11:32 PM

In my hometown there is a big orchestra which wants to organize a show in which they cover modern pieces with their orchestra in front of a big audience. They asked me to help with marketing and edit all films so they sync with the live music. Much like the Legend of Zelda Orchestra's we want to combine film and music. Now I'd appreciate if you could help me make a selection of tunes that would help reach a divert audience. Young and Old.

Here's my first setup.

Bring manny different categories, being:

- Film

- Animation

- Videogames

Here's my first list, feel free to give me alternatives

Film

- Batman

- Lord of the Rings

- Starwars

Animation

- The Lion King

- Tarzan

- Rapunzel

Videogames

- The Legend of Zelda

- Halo

- Banjo-Kazooie

#215948 Nintendo MiiTown (3ds & WiiU)

Posted by Lupaie on 05 June 2013 - 06:56 AM

We al saw how Xbox followed Nintendo's Mii direction with their Avatars. Sony followed up with Playstation Home.

I always thought that Rare (responseble for Avatars) would come up with an universe where all Xbox Avatars could live, meet and play.

Hmmmm that sounds a little bit like Animal Crossing too. What if Nintendo would build a universe directly into the OS of the WiiU and 3ds. Where players can customize their mii homes, meet and play with other friends. Throw in some Nintendo world minigames and we're good to go. At least so do I think.

What are your thoughts?

#214248 Full schedule of the E3 press conferences and livestreams,

Posted by Lupaie on 01 June 2013 - 11:59 AM

PES better come to the Wii U. I'm tired of playing it on PC.

I guess I'll be switching back once more too. It's Super Nintendo all over again. Back then, international superstar soccer, and at the start of n64 iss64 were king of the virtual soccerstadium in my book
