#105756 sonic 3d blast review

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 10 September 2012 - 01:14 PM

i had the ps1 too and the graphics looked choppy compared to saturn and the games besides crash , spyro, and driver sucked imo

I didn't get a PS1 until FFVII came out, but the Saturn was doomed because the head honcho's of Sega Japan couldn't swallow their pride. While the Saturn did have 2 processors compared to the one in PS1 - most developers didn't utilize the architecture because how insanely hard it was to develop for.

#105643 What Will The Gamepad do For Third Party Wii U Games?

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 09 September 2012 - 05:18 PM

I think the gamepad...if utilized the right way and embraced by developers...it can lead to a lot of system exclusives or being developed from the ground up on Wii U..then ported to other systems

#105326 Dont doubt the Wii U's performance potential

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 08 September 2012 - 05:28 PM

I think you guys are right. I also think a lot of people are going to be surprised at whats under the hood officially. Right now a lot of speculation is based around the release day games and games already announced...most of which are NOT built from the ground up to utilize the new architecture. Give it time my padawans.

#105223 Just a thought about the 3 rumored SKUs

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 08 September 2012 - 11:35 AM

I don't really like the rumored SKUs and I think there should only be one bundle. A black or white Wii U with a Gamepad, Wiimote Plus, and Nintendo Land. It's simple and it should please most everyone who's interested in the system

I don't agree with a one bundle model at all, unless It's a cheaper $249.99 bare bundle. Not everyone has $350 to put down on a system bundle. At least having 2 bundles caters to a broader range of gagamers.

#105199 New Super Mario Bros U has ONE over world map

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 08 September 2012 - 07:11 AM

They should rename it New Super Mario World, hope it has a place similar to the star road, with a giant cheese in the background and in the last level bowser jumps into it and runs over mario.

I second that. New Super Mario World sounds way better.

Think of those s

truggling families who want to get a Wii U for their kid(s), Nintendo needs to offer something to play. Example: Wii Sports.

Oh No you didn't. Kids have there parent banks. Think about all the poor gamers who can only afford the system!

#104965 Post launch game outlook

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 07 September 2012 - 08:42 AM

So there is an article on IGN about Bethesda still not convinced on the merits of developing on the Wii U. This got me thinking. I can't blame them...a lot of developers probably wait it out at new launches...in fact most of them do. They want time. What does the post launch outlook look like? What do you think the factors are? I believe companies like Bethesda are waiting to see what kind of numbers Nintendo moves and how its received.

#104734 How I think Nintendo will do with the competitors this gen.

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 06 September 2012 - 05:49 AM

But let's be honest, PC will still be king, and Sony/Microsoft are going to go bigger. You can almost guarantee it. And this I coming from a Nintendo fan since 1989.

Wow man, way to bring down the mood, and don't even try pulling out the "I'm a realist" card. The Wii U has plenty of opportunity to succeed and its way to early to call the games final score. Nintendo knows what it's like to sit on top as king, they know what it takes. Also you need to remember that Nintendo is trying to compete with anyone...and they don't have to until Sony and MS decide to compete with them.

#104306 Nintendo and Crytek... could it work?

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 04 September 2012 - 12:13 PM

If they license Nintendo the Cryengine I would cry with joy. I think it is probably that they are just making it available for use on the Wii U. The rumor was that Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 was going to be the game that would be on the Wii U. I think that it is all it will end up being.

Even if thats all it is...if the CryEngine really works well and the game shows it..it can mean good things for future projects involving the CryEngine

#104257 Manga Discussion Thread

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 04 September 2012 - 05:14 AM

lol wow, that picture IS pretty funny. I actually am waiting til Naruto AND Bleach both end to read them. The only exception I've made to reading unfinished manga is "Berserk". It is absolutely an amazing story. A bit lengthy as well, about 36 volumes in Japan, 35 here in America and somewhere around 350 chapters or so. I suggest anyone who likes great character development, story plot, romance and violence to read this manga. The anime is a good introduction the manga, so I suggest watching that as well (although it's a bit low budget xD).

Berserk is phenomenal, finished or not. I haven't checked out the newer Golden Age series yet, but the original is classic. I have a soft spot for older anime from the 90's as well as fantasy anime...Record of Lodoss war is another phenomenal series!
