See this is why it's best to go to an actual shop to get one, all sorts of things can go wrong with diliverys, plus you never know if it's been dropped or mistreated.
I tell people this all the time when people preorder and want a day 1 release, especially with electronics, but people don't listen.

Kids will avoid this and change their D.O.B. It's bound to happen.

Turn off the setting that auto-turns off your console if it's been inactive for 90 minutes I think it is.
Just stole this tip from HoltnEER.

This is getting ridiculous, could this be the worst console hardware launch ever, if this carries on I'm canceling my pre order I'll get one when it's sorted out, I worked hard on getting this money together, I'm not about to waste it, for now I will see how this plays out and how Nintendo respond, it's not looking good at the moment though.
Feeling the same as you are right now, as the Wii U's would have already shipped here.

Well look up GAME Southampton on Facebook, and you'll see them always talking about midnight launches.
Trust me, they do midnight launches for consoles in my local store too. Your local store manager is talking a load of crock. He probably just can't be bothered to open up at midnight, but the manager of my local store is an awesome guy. Mega helpful, and let's you in the store at like 11pm, instead of waiting out in the cold, as you get to do all your trade ins as well before 12am hits and allowed to buy the actual item.
My local GAME also gets busy, and there's 2 stores! D: The one that I'm talking about though closes in December though, and they're just keeping the one open in West Quay instead.

It was sarcasm, and yes they do. I've been to 4 midnight releases at GAME in the past 1 month.

Why are people moaning that they have to wait until Christmas? You're God damn lucky to have such an expensive item bought for you. I don't think kids today appreciate the true value of money.

Not really, because it means all the countries in the world, all trying to download updates to their system at the same time, and then the Wii U servers are just going to crash aren't they, and then people would moan...
THEY SHOULD ROLL IT OUT EACH CONTINENT AT A TIME SO WE NO HAVE DIS PROBLEM HERPA DERPA.
