#157671 gamepad NFC thread

Hopefully they make it so eShop cards are activated through NFC so you don't have to put that long code to use it.

Also Pokemon.

#155896 Rumor: Used Wii Us allow you to download games previous owners have bought

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 04 January 2013 - 03:44 AM

Nintendo is doomed! They are pretty much giving games away here! There console is so weak. It is only on par with the PS3. The launch games look barely as good as the PS3, a system that developers have gotten used too.
Nintendo is gonna die and become 3rd party.

Not sure if trolling, or just stupid...

#155808 NewLegendofZeldaWiiU

- In Skyward Sword, The Windwaker and the DS Zelda's it didn't feel like a believable world, a connected world. Skyward Sword is only the Skyloftlevel and 3 mainlocations on 'Earth'. (there are some islands but nothing special)....yet take a look at Ocarina's map, A link to the Past or the original game...its ONE world. I get a feeling that in Skyward Sword I miss most of the world which is covered beneath the clouds.

I really hope the next WiiU Zelda will be a game which plays in 1 world (hidden, past, parallel or future) but that it will be connected, without the spacefillers like train tracks, sea or sky. At least not in such a huge role they played in the last couple of Zelda's.

I understand what you are saying about Skyward Sword and the DS Zeldas about not having a connected world, but Wind Waker? That had the most connected world since A Link to the Past! In Ocarina of Time, there game had to load every time you entered each sub-area (hyrule field to kakariko village for example). In Wind Waker, the world was completley connected. You could go from each part of the Great Sea and on each island that wasn't a mini dungon, and not see one fade out to load.

#155805 Gamer parent asking what should I buy

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 03 January 2013 - 06:47 PM

Note: This applies to North America only. I don not know the information for other countries
System Model
The Basic Set comes with: a white Wii U, a white Wii U gamepad with stylus, a sensor bar (same one as the Wii), a console ac adapter, a gamepad ac adapter, and an hdmi cable. This will cost $299.
The Deluxe Set comes with: everything listed earlier, although the Wii U, gamepad, and stylus are in black, along with a Wii U stand, a gamepad stand, a gamepad charging cradle (you plug in the ac adapter in the cradle and you place the gamepad in the cradle to charge it), the game Nintendoland, as well as the deluxe digital promotion, which allows you to earn 10% back in points on any content purchased on the eShop (for example, a $59.99 game will get you 599 points). You can then use those points as eShop credit for any other purchase (500 points gets you $5). The Deluxe Set is $349.99

Accessories
The Wii U is compatable with all Wii controllers and accessories (Wii Remotes, Wii Remote Plus (has Wii Motion Plus built in), Nunchuck, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, Wii Balance Board, Wii Motion Plus adapter). If it's just you and your kids, I would recommend 2 Wii Remote Plus controllers and 2 Nunchuck controllers. The Wii U also has a pro controller which comes in black or white. When choosing games, look on the back of the case to see what controllers are compatable. I would recommend getting 2 of them. I would also recommend an external hard drive if you like downloading games through the eShop.

In short, I would get 2 Wii Remote Plus controllers, 2 Nunchucks, and 2 Pro Controllers. I would also recommend the Deluxe Wii U, but if the Basic set is the only one you can find, that works too. If you like downloading games, I would get an external hard drive, prefferably one with an external power source. Hopefully this was helpful.

#153988 Wii U - A massive disappointment?

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 30 December 2012 - 11:06 AM

Nintendo Land seems more like a collection of Wario Ware games than anything substantial.

Have you played warioware recently? The games in those never lasted for more than 5 seconds.

#150775 Elder Scrolls on Wii U?

If they did put Elder Scrolls on Wii U, they could put in Link's outfit, the hero bow, the Hylian shield, and the Master Sword just for kicks

Am I the only one who wants to see a skyrim complete edition on Wii U with all of the dlc and possibly hi-res textures? They could even add Link's hat, tunic, the Dylan shield, master sword, and hero's bow as exclusives.

#147106 Please sign these petitions for wii u support

I don't think petitions work, because some people who sign them would never pay the money for the games.

Operation Rainfall and the Mass Effect Ending one worked.

#145433 The Phantom Pain: MGSV?

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 08 December 2012 - 08:09 AM

Why do they feel the need to disguise what the game is and who's making it?
I will never understand some marketing techniques.

It builds hype, suspense, and excitement.

We all know the only reason he got one was so he can copy it for the next PlayStation.

#140915 Wii U RUMORS 2013-2014. Metroid Prime Online Multiplayer, Kirby, and Fatal Frame

Posted by TheUltimateWaddleDee on 30 November 2012 - 07:26 AM

I'm sure hoping that Zelda is ready to launch just after E3, I mean we had the whole gameplay demo last year so it should be close....

You mean the Zelda HD Experience that looked like Twilight Princess? That was only used to show off the power and not reflecting a game in development. Remember the Spaceworld Demo.
