Actually, it appears the game was originally coded for high-end platforms. Looks like Wii U, PS3 and 360 will be downports. Hopefully, Ubisoft will pull a Criterion and put the Wii U's extra capabilities to good use and make it stand out quite nicely from the PS3/360 versions.

Not sure if serious.  They won't need to downport the Wii U version at all if it is built for this generation first.  If you mean they'll need to optimize it for the Wii U memory architecture then yes, but graphically, the PS4 is not the great leap ahead that you think it is.

Now for a release date.

Well Soul my good friend there is a very simple formula to determine the release date... first take the competitor console release date and add 8 months

It will be the graphically superior version, and therefore the better version.

#174403 What do you want in an handheld gaming device?

Posted by Mitch on 21 February 2013 - 11:15 PM

All I want are good games. Devices are NOTHING without software.

You sir must have never heard of the excellent success story of a little thing called the PS Vita..... oh wait

#174370 Wii U & PS4 (It's like the 3DS to the Vita)

How about we just say that all the consoles are equally great and we just buy the systems and games that we all want! No Sony is better or Nintendo is better. They are both great and we will have fun with the consoles like we have the consoles before them.

Edit: I say this with enthusiasm in my voice not anger!

Well in a perfect world where gummy bears and sugar plums rained from the rainbow filled sky this would be true..... But you must be the only one living in that world goom because thats the only world where Sony is on par with Nintendo....

Nintendo is far superior to both Sony and Microsoft

Great companies (Nintendo) are innovators, not copy catting idea stealing whores (Sony)....

I'm so glad this is coming to the Wii U, but I'll be getting this on PS4. It will be the graphically superior version, and therefore the better version.

But who knows, maybe my opinion will change between now and then.

this is a joke right?

Excellent, I'm actually interested to see screens side by side now of the different versions. This hopefully will look just as good as it does on ps4 and next box so people can shut up about the Wii U being the lesser of the next gen in raw power.

B that is the most not good thing I ever seen you type. Gameplay is king...I can't see the graphics being that much better, and if they make unique features using the Gamepad then the Wii U can be a much better version. Realistically it will be like that for a lot of 3rd party multiplatform games....proper utilization of the GamePad can really be huge in deciding which version. Especially if the graphical difference isn't as big as people think.

Anyone else find this mindset to be a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy? If consumers maintain a mindset like this, than is there any wonder that third parties supposedly "Don't do well" on Nintendo systems? It makes sense that if consumers who buy Nintendo systems choose to purchase a multiplatform title for that system, than that will improve the situation with third party titles on their systems. Nintendo can do whatever they want to attract third parties, but if consumers don't make the choice to buy the Wii U version of a multiplatform game, than it would all be a wasted effort.

Great post.
