#316595 Windows 10

Posted by Bill Cipher on 13 August 2015 - 06:41 PM

I've been using it for about a week. I spent about 24 hours trying to get it to install because Windows Update was Borked, the Installer/Easy tool was borked, I had to change my CD Drive read type from SATA to IDE, and I had to uninstall my Anti-virus to get it to install.

It's cool, but definitely wait if you're not enthusiastic about it.

#316518 DeNA earnings report reveals Nintendo announcement “soon”

Interesting. I hope that Nintendo's mobile games are actually quality experiences, and not the usual crap you get on the app store.

#316573 Super Mario Maker: 60 Levels Confirmed; One by Rayman's Michel Ancel

Posted by Keviin on 12 August 2015 - 11:39 AM

I have a really specific question if anyone knows the answer. Have ALL of the abillites of the respective generations been preserved? The one I'm thinking of in particular is the SMW ability to throw shells upwards. If I remember rightly, that only existed in that generation. They removed it for the more recent games and you could only throw shells left or right.

Throwing shell upwards confirmed.

This is a game I encourage people to play. Nintendo published this as a new IP for them on Wii. It is NOT a RPG. It's more in line with Castlevania(CV before SOTN). The premise shows Nintendo wanted to be more daring. A princess who's culture does not eat flesh starts transforming into a mutant beast so in order to save her you must kill these massive boss creatures and feed her their heart to stop the transformation. You have a time limit for each area but nothing so strict you feel in a panic just in a hurrt to do well. You can gift her items to help her feel emotionally better and such. The areas are like dungeons with puzzles like Castlevania like action. Some fantastic music as well.

Pretty cool. I think they created each sprite from scratch for every character.

Gah, Toad, ok... not mad. But Luigi? C'mon.

Just... just more. WANT THIS GAME.

Gameplay with amiibo enabled (or by other means) Peach and Bowser costumes. Not an issue but I feel like it should be the original Princess Toadstool sprite from SMB. Sure her look has been updated since but so has Mario's. I could say the same for Bowser but since the his 8-bit sprite is already used in the game I have less of a quarrel there.

It's good they don't annualize Mario Kart and Smash but they need to try to have them out within the first year of the NX.

I'm kinda hoping with the NX the rerelease their core WiiU games. (Smash, MK, Splatoon, both Bayonettas, 3D World, etc.)

They look awesome... wish I could get my hands on them too.

It's not hard, I got a lot of my posters and Japanese Nintendo swag from eBay. The seller cashes in his points/stars and has Nintendo mail it directly to you if possible.

You may want to wait for prices to go down though...

Hi! I'm new here so I figured I'd post here. I'm 19 years old and from Australia, and I'm planning to buy a Wii U next week. (again)

I say again because I actually had a Wii U on launch, but a couple of months later, I decided to sell all of my games/consoles due to personal matters and a general loss of interest in gaming due to everything that was happening in the real world... so, I'm here now, I got back into gaming again a month or so ago with the 3DS and some older games I still kept, and I'm just pretty excited about it all again. c:

I actually used to browse these forums before, but I figured it'd be cool to join in on discussions and stuff. :3 My primary interest right now is in Nintendo, but I always end up playing anything :]

Hopefully I end up staying here though. PS: I'm really surprised I got this name... this forum seems pretty dead compared to before as well :[ and if you'd like to see what kind of games I have right now... which isn't much anymore :( here's a site I use. I still have to add a few virtual console and ps2 games though.)

European Club Nintendo: Mario Kart 7 Trophies, Majora’s Mask Light, And Mario Golf Balls

Good news for Mario Kart fans in Europe as the Mario Kart 7 trophies are back up on the European Club Nintendo website. There’s obviously a variety to choose from including the Leaf and Special Cup amongst others. If you want one of these luxurious trophies then it will set you back 5000 Stars. If the trophies aren’t your thing then you can pick up The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask light for 6000 Stars or alternatively get the Mario Golf Balls for 3500.
