Maybe they should release variations on mobile devices- something like that Nintendoland Mario bros. deal on a tablet or cell phone might be cool- then maybe even a variation of an Angry birds......supposedly they are considering mobile, so maybe that's their plan.

I think the plan was to lure more indie devs who are in the mobile space to take a look at Wii U as the tablet (gamepad) and controls could offer some good potential for them and appearing on a Nintendo console is good for the ole resume

We al saw how Xbox followed Nintendo's Mii direction with their Avatars. Sony followed up with Playstation Home. I always thought that Rare (responseble for Avatars) would come up with an universe where all Xbox Avatars could live, meet and play. Hmmmm that sounds a little bit like Animal Crossing too. What if Nintendo would build a universe directly into the OS of the WiiU and 3ds. Where players can customize their mii homes, meet and play with other friends. Throw in some Nintendo wirld minigames and we're good to go. At least so do I think. What are your thoughts?

that would be really cool. minute features of your idea were done in 3ds via mii plaza and street pass where you meet other mii's that you come in contact with, they can help in the game find mii etc... although this is all a smaller scale. I love the idea though

Animal Crossing: New Leaf contains many features new to the Animal Crossing series. Players will begin the game living in a tent, rather than a house, that will eventually be upgraded and expanded.^[1] Customisation, a major facet of the series, particularly in the player's ability to modify the character's appearance and furnish the living space, has also been enhanced. The character's pants can now be modified in addition to their shirt, shoes, hat, and accessory; and the ability to hang furniture on walls has been added.
