#286764 Nintendo Smash Fest @ Best Buy

Posted by Mewbot on 27 May 2014 - 04:53 AM

The closest Best Buy with the Smash Demo is 45 miles away and I live near Orlando.

As Zinix once said to me:

"sjhfdsj"

You think you have it bad. Here's how far I have to travel to get to my closest Best Buy.

6RAw09H.png

Add to that an hour to get to the airport, and a few mins to get from the airport to Best Buy.

Then make that a return trip.

Assuming I spent roughly 30 mins playing Smash Bros., it would take me about 2 days and 7 hours, there and back.

Ur luky bro.

#281108 Watch_dogs will release in fall 2014 WiiU

Posted by Lightning_Ninja on 12 April 2014 - 03:27 PM

The game will then sell worse because wii u owners won't buy a game for their system unless its the same as the other versions, including release date.  Ubisoft will see the poor sales, and conclude that the reason is that nintendo fans just don't like non-nintendo games, regardless of whatever the real reason is.  Then, just like every other 3rd party dev, they will drop support for nintendo consoles, and wii u owners will complain about the lack of third party support.  The cycle continues!

As someone or reddit said "Way to go Ubisoft, might as well write up the story now where Ubisoft complains about nobody buying the wiiU version."

Maybe this will make up for the 5 minutes he was in Spiderman 3.

#280914 Last of Us PS4 trailer

Posted by AdmiralClassy on 11 April 2014 - 05:19 AM

First thing we see in this video "The last of us may very well be a once in a generation experience" Saying that while they release it again on a different console gen just sounds silly.

I like how the majority of people are eating up last of us ps4 and tomb raider "definitive" edition yet games like windwaker hd get crapped on because "it's the same game" "rehash" and things like that.

It also makes me laugh how people were making fun of the wii u because it was getting last gen games with enhancements around launch time but now it's happening with ps4 and xb1 no ones really making fun of that.

#279429 EA kicks Nintendo while they are down

Posted by 3Dude on 01 April 2014 - 02:16 PM

Why is everyone so upset about this I mean it wasn't funny just because it was just a terribly presented joke (keyword JOKE) The Wii U is not a person it does not have feelings these tweets have no effect on the WiiU. Do you think this hurts Iwata's/ Nintendo's feelings because no, no it doesn't  here is Iwata right now http://gifrific.com/...ars-with-money/    this isn't rude the Wii U is a piece of plastic not a person

Here, put this on your head.

#278677 Poverty Myths, Busted

Posted by Zinix on 26 March 2014 - 04:45 PM

1. Single moms are the problem. Only 9 percent of low-income, urban moms have been single throughout their child's first five years. Thirty-five percent were married to, or in a relationship with, the child's father for that entire time.*

2. Absent dads are the problem. Sixty percent of low-income dads see at least one of their children daily. Another 16 percent see their children weekly.*

3. Black dads are the problem. Among men who don't live with their children, black fathers are more likely than white or Hispanic dads to have a daily presence in their kids' lives.

4. Poor people are lazy. In 2004, there was at least one adult with a job in 60 percent of families on food stamps that had both kids and a nondisabled, working-age adult.

5. If you're not officially poor, you're doing okay. The federal poverty line for a family of two parents and two children in 2012 was $23,283. Basic needs cost at least twice that in 615 of America's cities and regions.

6. Go to college, get out of poverty. In 2012, about 1.1 million people who made less than $25,000 a year, worked full time, and were heads of household had a bachelor's degree.**

7. We're winning the war on poverty. The number of households with children living on less than $2 a day per person has grown 160 percent since 1996, to 1.65 million families in 2011.

8. The days of old ladies eating cat food are over. The share of elderly single women living in extreme poverty jumped 31 percent from 2011 to 2012.

9. The homeless are drunk street people. One in 45 kids in the United States experiences homelessness each year. In New York City alone, 22,000 children are homeless.

10. Handouts are bankrupting us. In 2012, total welfare funding was 0.47 percent of the federal budget.

#278369 Do you think Nintendo learned their lesson from that E3 Direct?

Posted by Colinx on 23 March 2014 - 04:38 PM

Some guy (from neogaf) said they had booked their usual space for E3, but so far, now news on if they reserved the usual space for a press conference.

Crossing my fingers that they do it this year.

To be honest, i think they chose the ND last year because they really didn`t have a good show and sharing the stage with MS and Sony would be worse than a ND for E3.

This year i really hope they have a press conference as that will be a good sign that they have a show that shows they have something to fight MS and Sony.

Not to mention that they will probably be showing QoL stuff and the more mainstream media there will be really good PR.

Didn't have a good show? I thought the direct could have been easily integrated into one of the best Nintendo E3's yet. Donkey Kong, Smash, 3D Mario and Mario Kart?

#278153 The real issue with new Nintendo IP's

Posted by Raiden on 21 March 2014 - 12:20 PM

iX3RKGRtqOKYI.jpg

Seems every gen Nintendo creates many new IP's but for dumb reasons people never acknowledge it. They are harped on for rehashing but they turn around buy the next CoD,Uncharted,Halo,Madden,GoW,MGS and others been rehashed for years esp the yearly series.

Not much of a topic but kinda wanted to post this as it gets frustrating with the double standards and hypocrisy everywhere. I guess because they don't make FPS games or angry bald men games in realistic graphic engines their new IP's never count.

#276733 George Zimmerman signing autographs at a FL Gun Show

Posted by Arioch on 10 March 2014 - 08:17 PM

Things like this, things like this show that the bar hasn't just been lowered, it has been completely destroyed.  Mankind is falling on a downward slope.

It doesn't matter whether Zimmerman was guilty or innocent, he is signing autographs because he has become peoples' icon for some sort of gun ideology.  It has jumped to some sort of level where people believe that they need guns to defend themselves against others (minorities) and somehow the government (you're just crazy if you think a small militia can take out any small faction of any government force).  It's just an excuse for your wet dream of shooting down a tank with grenade launchers.

The point is that Zimmerman and others are still making money off of killing Treyvon Martin and are pushing an idea behind it.
