#160998 Nintendo working on Mario Kart HD and more

Posted by Wolfy on 20 January 2013 - 06:12 AM

Mii call of duty confirmed

WTF? THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN, I WOULD PLAY ANY SHOOTER WITH MIIS IN IT!

God, I hate you for making me happy only to realise it won't happen... Would Nintendo like it? My Miiverse post was banned for saying bollocks.

What's wrong? Got something against male pornographic stars dancing to a song about the pirates of the carribean while shaking his dong? You'll be taught a lesson soon enough, keep an eye out for my thread.

#153694 New Super Mario Bros. U Reviews

Posted by Wolfy on 29 December 2012 - 05:32 PM

So here's my review, it's New Super Mario Bros Wii with updated graphics, although worse than I expected, the levels are too short and easy, boost rush and challenge mode are a complete let down and recycled music drives your head in. This game is not worth a pick up at full price if you have the other ones and anyone who says otherwise is probably a fanboy or kidding themselves. Another thing, GET THAT GOD DAMN "NEW" OFF THESE GAMES, THEY'RE OLD, STALE AND BORING NOW!"

#151127 Wii U rubbish at being A WII

Posted by Wolfy on 23 December 2012 - 02:24 PM

Lol, people are started to sound like old men talking back on their childhood, "Back in my day we didn't have violent games like CALL OF DUTY, we had to play Mario and the graphics were 8 bit, but we didn't care". Also, it's subjective but in my opinion Super Mario Galaxy is no where near perfect, and far from one of the best games of all time, that title won't ever belong to a platformer in my opinion.

#150993 Why do people like My Little Pony?

Posted by Wolfy on 23 December 2012 - 02:22 AM

I don't know, I just find it funny when people act like MLP has some deep profound meaning within each and every episode that no other TV show could ever match, let's be serious, you will be cringing in a few years when you look back at websites with you posting with a Rainbow Dash avatar... WHY DOES EVERYONE KNOW ALL THE PONY NAMES NOW, GAAAAHHHH THE PONIES ARE TAKING OVER!

#150368 Zombi U Reviews

Posted by Wolfy on 21 December 2012 - 03:51 AM

So, this isn't going to be a technical review of any sort, but I thought I'd give you my impressions on the game.

Graphically speaking ZombiU isn't very impressive, although it does not look bad at all, it might not have the best textures and detail in the world, but the whole look of the game is smooth and you won't see jagged edges in games and it isn't such an eyesore compared to other console games I've played, it just looks very simple and clean, I think it looks very nice when the light shines on your eyes and you see all the dust on your screen.

You rely a lot on sound in this game and it's good for the most part, zombies sound menacing and your characters pants and mumbles nervously during, after fights and when they are scavenging for supplies or looking through their bag. One gripe I have with the same is that your character feels the need to grunt with every swing of his bat, you may say that this is for immersion, but no one screams at the top of their lungs every time they swing a cricket bat, and if you're yelling so loud it looks stupid when the other zombies are nearby oblivious to you.

Now, for the most part you'll be using the cricket bat which can range from 1 (very rarely) to at least 10 swings, most will take about five though, this isn't as annoying as many other reviews make it out to be, although as I said earlier the sounds will really start to piss you off, especially if you're using a female, you don't want your parents around, they might think you're doing something a little bit more naughty than playing ZombiU, that's for sure. The game took me about 15 hours on my first playthrough, but it could probably range from 5-10 hours if you're good.

The replay value in this game is great, it feels different every time you play through as you die in different areas, end up with different weapons at endgame and different situations always arise depending on the path which you choose to take.

Multiplayer is unfortunately exclusively offline, although it is a ton of fun, one player with the gamepad is the zombie master, this person must spawn zombies and try to kill the survivor who must fight them off while they use the pro controller/wii remote on the TV screen, ammo and supplies will be scavenged around and it's a capture the flag type of game, only with zombies.

Overall though, this game is my favourite survival horror game at the moment, it is brilliant, I can see myself playing it time and time again, last night I blitzed through the game with someone else, we spent 12 hours beating the game and after that we wanted more, so we jumped on the multiplayer and had a blast.

The cover of the British Anthem just sounded beautiful when the credits rolled, so much so that I find myself listening to it while browsing the web and playing other games and the ending really made me think.

This game is a worthy purchase and in my opinion a must own for any Wii U owner.

ZombiU 2, we need it, this could be an amazing franchise if some things are tweaked and Ubisoft knows what the fans want!

#149169 Question: How to protect the little people that play Wii U?

Posted by Wolfy on 18 December 2012 - 05:09 AM

Hello

I know there are is someone here that can help with this question.

Q: Is there a way to create a secondary account (other than the primary one used to log into the network) which can be completely sheltered from the Wii U community? I want to allow my kids to be able to start up the console and play their games (only), without me worrying about them seeing something posted on the community screen or have them accidentially wondering into the store and start buying things without permission.

Thanks in advance.

If you are at the account select screen there should be an icon next to your username from what I recall, click that to create a new user, if they want to sign up for Nintendo Network they're going to have to provide an e-mail address if that's going to stop them at all though. If it's any help the Miiverse is constantly moderated and I don't think I or anyone here has ever seen anything that would be considered profane on the it. Your kids won't be able to buy anything from the eShop either.

#148787 Valve Steambox Tech and speculation thread!

Posted by Wolfy on 17 December 2012 - 12:50 AM

my

you say you cant beat pc games lol, they still gunna cross port from the 360, and they arnt going to have zelda lol,  and i dont think the spec is going to be as high as you think, simply because how would they fit it all in with the heat to consider have you seen the size of a cpu and the size of the sync and fan needed, have you seen the size of a graphics card, if they release a console sized box it will be a cheap pc for gamers, wont compete with proper rigs

yea as confirmed, its just a cheap living room pc that hooks up to ur tv that will most likely run windows 7, it will compete with the ps4 etc, which isnt hard to be honest lol, other companys are going to do the same thing not just valve, all they are is small form factor PC's, with the power to run decent games, they are just trying to sell them by saying you have more possibilities, you will not be able to upgrade as they will be custom made, most of us with gaming rigs can do all this now, i think they are just trying to get some of the console market, so if theses are just pc games the steambox will be playing on the tv with the special valve controller, i wonder if they will be valvebox only servers for online games, otherswize players will get decimated by the people on highend mouse and keyboards

No, you CAN'T beat PC exclusives, there's so many always releasing and so many top quality ones, why do you think that's funny? Zelda hasn't got crap on most of them, anyway. And I wasn't expecting it to be so powerful either.

#148610 Valve Steambox Tech and speculation thread!

It needs to have mouse and keyboard support, do you guys really think they're going to leave that out when we have MMO's and RTS games on Steam? Put it this way, if this thing is good and cheap enough, I will consider not even thinking about the next PS4/720 because this thing will blow it the hell out of the water, you can't beat PC games, especially when their console counterparts are running at lower than the lowest PC settings at less than half the frames, I remember everyone here actually getting mad at me because I said that the Wii U won't have many games at launch running at 1080p and 60fps.

They have to include an option for a notification to pop up on screen, like for when someone logs in and more importantly telling you what someone sent you through the Miiverse without having to open Miiverse itself.

#140789 The truth to why AU/EU received Wii U nearly 2 weeks after the U.S

Posted by Wolfy on 30 November 2012 - 01:25 AM

As you can clearly see Nintendo had to wait 12 days to sell us the Wii U in Australia due to one reason, our video game spines and disc art are FAR superior to yours. You U.S folk received the dumbed down, inferior version just so that you could play your Wii U's earlier.

Wii U PAL master race, sorry guys, it's over.

And yes, that is infact a sloppy AC3 case, I just spilled water on it, so what? We don't mess around where I'm from.

And a toothpick for good measure.
